Yeah once you give them you can't take them back. I did Star & Flag the OP after reading section 4 of the thread.

This IS from the iPhone app and an obvious fake to anyone that doesn't know the app anyway! I'm quite surprised this is 5 pages long and still not in the Hoax thread

Come on peeps, we've got better things to be doin than wasting our time with this!

Peace out

Threads get flags thats what the "f" is and posts get stars thats what the "s" is, you can star any post within in a thread

We arent police. ATS members wont put upl with fake/hoaxed material and we try to find out right away so we dont waste our time all night. People intentionally try to hoax here all the time, its important to be a bit skeptical of everything around here.

Im curious as to where you got this picture or who gave it to you in your family? Have you questioned whoever gave you the picture yet?

** Also, how were you so sure it wasnt tampered with? The thread title describes the picture as 'genuine' and in your opening post you say "Here is an amazing picture - not editted."

You should run it through a photoshop program, mess with lightness, contrast and solarize it to enhancce the faint image.

i genuinely thought it was real due to the fact that i thought it looked like my auntie and i didn't believe someobdy would be sick enough to edit it. Is that not understandable?

Just because somebody issues a pronunciamento, don't believe it right off the bat. Was it a digital or film picture?

Here are a couple of Garland1234's posts that left me scratching my head...

The post below is from Garland1234 in a thread about the Ghost radar app for the Iphone

Bought this the other day and i don't believe it. It said that there was a ghost in my back garden and in my brothers bedroom. HAHA, asif man. Funny thing is is it keeps doing the same everyday. The words it comes out with are ridiculous though. For instance Bear, i live in the U.K and i've never seen a bear in my life.

Is there any chance you possibly bought the Ghost picture app as well and arent telling us? Starting to seem a little fishy...

The below post is from Garland1234 from a different thread

I don't know if you can post photos on here but my grandads sister (not a close relative) who died last year/year before is possibly on a photo which was taken by one of her daughters. it's a ghostly figure in the mirror and it has scary deep socketed black eyes. The scary thing is i am %100 sure that this hasn't been doctored - why would somebody's daughter with a strong concience do this and disgrace her mother)??

Once again, the 100% guarantee its not doctored...So you're saying this photo you presented was snapped by the daughter of the dead aunt? This is all becoming too strange and doesnt sound right..

you're reading into things too much. i completely denied that the ghost app worked. i didn't even know there was an app for making your own pictures.

I took it myself about 6 months ago using the Camera 360 app on my android phone. Link to App specs

I can write the date on a piece of paper and take another one right now if you want?

There she is again!

I'm sorry if you've been duped, but it IS an app from a phone.

Oh I live for threads like this. You've totally pwned our illustrious OP in such a laid back and subtle manner. Priceless.

i wasn't dubed. If i was dubed then so was every other person who saw the photo. I do find what you have done very funny but i don't appreciate people insulting my intelligence.

Do you know what duped means? It means being tricked, got, taken for a ride, etc. Which perfectly describes your situation. You thought the picture was real, it was not, someone doctored it, this has been proven. So you did in fact get duped.

I'm not trying to come off as harsh but it seems like you still don't understand that this image is fake, and you basically put your credibility on the line defending it. Got to be able to accept what comes with that

By saying you were duped I mean that you were led to believe it was real, and that someone ELSE tricked YOU... I could have said you out and out lied about it and faked it yourself.

I was trying to be nice.
