I Moved to NC from SC 10 years ago and I've yet to show any kind of ID or my voter registration. Of course when I do go, I will have them in my possession, but when I go to show them, I'm told they don't need it. I just tell the people at the polls my present address and they check me off.

In SC was another story. I needed my DL with current address and voter registration before poll workers signed me off before I voted.

I believe that showing your ID should be mandatory to vote however I think it'll be struck down by the courts as......whatever reason they see fit to explain themselves.
