The World Is Screwed Up...How Do We Fix It?

I’ve been reading through quite a few of the threads here, and one of the most common themes is that the world is a mess. Some have ranted about it, some have shown the mess through detailed research, and some have expressed a sense of foreboding or a lack of ability to effect change. Seems we can pretty much agree that there is a problem (or series of problems). The question is: How do we fix it?

Quite frankly, we have some very smart people here. We also have a lot of pent up frustration. Like most of you, I agree that the world is pretty screwed up. And, while it would be nice to just get away (I started a thread on this not too long ago, because that’s where my head was at the time), or have some outside force show us a better way, ultimately I think fixing this mess is up to us. We have the brain power. We have the energy.

Let’s figure out a solution.

In regards to this immediate present, we --desperately-- need that "zero point free energy" the Ufo NewAgeys talk about.
Next: HUMAN GENETIC ENGINEERING. There -Must- be perfection, but NOT the way the Third Reich tried. I truly truly believe in my very core, that if only we could redesign the human brain is born, (regardless----of race, religious origin, even IQ) so that the amygdala hypocampus region will never never never be sympathy/empathyless, then how would greed corruption and war ever flourish, if exist?

I was going to say "meditation" as a practice that can save the planet, and it sounded a little silly. But it seems it can be a totally realistic cure since it is a practice that literally restructures the brain. There is pretty stong science behind the benefits of mediation, and that could make an obvious impact on society as a whole, but the real issue seems to be that the planet is changing. I think if this really is a 'pole' shift, the practice of meditation is going to be crucial in coping with those changes as a human. cool read- Earth's Magnetic Field, resonance and us

as long as humans are around, the world will not be perfect. people can gain power, and use it against eachother, causing other coomplications...thats one solution..eliminate humans. look aat how many wars were merly fought over the need for more land and resources, and many of many times with that, genocides..aka hitelr and the jews, the yugoslavian war of the early 90's...hell talin straved over 50 million of his won peple just to take thier food for his people!
we need a system at least here in USA a balanced system fo fariness for all, unlike it is now..war makes the pentagon and congress money. war means dead people and babys. money has made it so humans want more of it,a nd will do anything to step on others, even kill jsut to have a little of it. i suppose the same could go for the same, if barterig was ever implemented again..but yuo cant trust bartering, at least with a stranger..god knows whats wrong with what yuo got trading ya know? stranger could be another dahmer or jack the ripper or soemthing.
people need to be properly educated in schools at an early enough age, so were all crtiically informed and know what to do, rather than left to scratch our heads and not care. thats another thing about evil humans..lies*
i dunno...no matter waht, not every human is going ot be on the same page as yuo ro me and so on. it would take those in power, now, to change or have new ones come in, that actually have good honest intentions and giving back to everyone at the same time.just a little. we dont right now, as we all know and see. governemnt only cares about itself, not its own people anymore. t that needs to change. for sure, if governemnt had changed, yuor teaching people to do good things ya know? if its gunna act selfish and greedy, then thats what yuor teaching everyone as well...that needs to change.

Humans are not the problem, humans are not parasitic, our mentality is what needs to change. Life is a proccess that includes death, just a simple fact of life. Have you ever heard of the food chain? Lions and tigers and bears oh my! You know what we all have in common? They all are a part of the food chain.

Quite simply, no form of government or the non-existance of government can be fair to all, it is quite impossible to do. Fairness is an idea that goes against nature and going against nature is going against God. Life is spinning wheel, Learn all that you can from it.

I do not have all the answers, but I sure do know where the problems stem. A good beginning would be to heed The Final Warning, get with The Plan, then start rebuilding Heaven as a united people on this planet.

Our governments, banks, religions, and other controlling entities that are unnatural to this world will not give up their power willingly. We The People must take that power. Yes, it will require sacrifice. Yes, it may cost you your life and well being for a time.

The question then becomes, what are you willing to sacrifice for a better world? What are you willing to sacrifice for your childrens future? How bad do you wish to escape the plantation, and are you willing to grant others the same freedom you desire? Are you willing to embrace your fellow Man and work together?

If you are, get the word out and show by example that you are ready.

That is what I was trying to say, and if all humans became more mentally spiritually advanced, minus a cold-bloodedness, but rather highly empathic, we could make this world a Garden Of Eden. I believe animals have advanced along those lines already as well. Not all animals, but it seems like a trend to me. My cats are so people-like. I remember animals being more animal-like when I was little, 45 years ago. But then they were treated by people, much moreso, as mere --things-- than they are now. CHILDREN, TOO!

The operative word there is "how".....
How do you remove a bandaid? Slowly peel it off or rapidly rip it off??
I usually try the slow way until it pulls too many hairs, then wait a second and then quickly yank it.
Change may be coming quickly....we are probably at the "wait a second" pause part after trying it the slow way.......

My idea is just to stand back and let the others do this to themselves, it would not make sense to put my own life in jeapordy for other peoples hard headedness.

I really do not know what mess you are referring to. Is it the mess created by Man's hand? Is it the Financial Mess? Is it War?

In order to fix something we need specifics as to what is broken; and, in order to fix it are we replacing it with something better or are we simply bringing it back to where it once was?

The Universe loves to answer our Prayers, but often cannot simply because people are never specific about what it is they want, what it is they desire, and what it is that they need. Instead they are vague and then complain when the Universe sends them something they suddenly don't want? It gets all too confusing so it is just easier to let it all fall apart and die away; when it is all gone we can recreate something better. Unless of course, we are the problem!

The bible also says those who wish to save their lives will lose them.

Well to me life is about helping others, by doing so you must also help yourself. I am not talking about saving the whole world I am just speaking mainly about those around me like my family, (the people I can help) where in many cases I would value their welfare higher than my own. That and just not becoming a part of the problem, but part of the solution.

We are a product of our own experiences and our own actions.

The problem is that [insert very snart perrson's name here]'s idea of a fix is veery likely worse than the original. To a socialist, the way to fix the world is to turn everyone into socialists. Unfortunately, for people like me, that's the day I stop working and trying to improve myself and my situation. I see socialism not as a cure, but as one of the biggest diseases. Please don't be simplistic and take off for or against socialism here. Consider it a substitution word. Put any "ism" you want in there or any "logy" I just picked it at random amongst many choices.

You say there are a lot of smart people on ATS and that we should be able to come up with a solution. OK. here are a few recent threads:

+ Communication with a tree possible? Got a weird feeling when I touched a dying one in my yard

So where I agree that there are a lot of smart people on ATS, there are also a lot of people who are not. I would guess it's a pretty good cross-section of people, with a focus a little more to the strange, weird, and impracticle side. In other words, ATS is just as screwed up as the rest of the world and unlikely to come up with a fix for the world's problems.

It's good entertainment, though. But perhaps we shouldn't take ourseloves too seriously.
