A very interesting story ( I'm still trying to dig more info)

Ok guys heres a legit story with witnesses I just thought some people might be interested in reading.

I'm still trying to get more info like the guy that originally reported this to see If I could get the footage or recording.

Remember the mystery hum heard over a large swathe of Hull and East Yorkshire last year? We featured a recording of the strange sound on This is Hull in October amid speculation it could be everything from a Russian bomber to a UFO. Now, readers Daniel and Natasha have sent us this video of what they describe as strange noises and lights recorded over Boothferry Estate and First Lane, Hessle, at around 10pm last night. Says Daniel: "It was a high-pitched whirring noise, constant but it would move away very quickly and come back. "There was nothing to be seen by the naked eye but as soon as I looked through the camera on my phone, two lights could be seen, one of which changed shape and size. I looked around to see if it could be a reflection of some kind, or lens flare, but it wasn't." He could hear a helicopter in the area too, faintly behind the "siren" sound, which he thought might be the police helicopter. "I'm sure like everything there is a perfectly logical explanation," he adds. "At first we thought it was a car horn that was stuck or something like but then we noticed the sound/ object moved away very quickly and then back again. "I remembered the video clip that someone took of the mystery humming a few months back and decided to get my phone out and record the sound. "It was then that I noticed a light in the sky but I couldn't see it with naked eye, only on my phone screen. Then we noticed a second light come into view (left-hand side) which appeared to alter its shape but that could be put down to anything. "People walking down the street were all talking about it and trying to place the noise. My brother in law said; 'Whatever it is, its fast'." "I'm not for one second assuming its extra-terrestrial like most would, it was Unidentified, it was Flying and it was a obviously an Object."

Witness number 1

"It was a high-pitched whirring noise, constant but it would move away very quickly and come back." If the source of the sound was moving to-and-fro, the pitch would change down and up. No pitch shift in this video, at least. Added: Thu, 24 Feb 2011 15:22 CST

Witness number 2

all of our dogs began howling incessantly and in an irritated manner when this video started. As for House above, your comment bears serious consideration, because you are right about the altered pitch. Added: Fri, 25 Feb 2011 15:44 CST

Witness number 3

There seemed to be two tones there, and underlying lower note and the higher pitched rather ugly note. The higher one reminded me of the sound of a large scraper being sharpened on a fairly slow and coarse grinding wheel. Or the sound of a flanged train wheel scraping around a sharp bend in the track .... though it was neither of those in fact. I agree with the dogs - it was a disquieting sound. ok the link underneath now has the video but i think its a possible hoax with a reflection but you can make your own mind up im sure
