The average citizen in a type 2 or 3 civilization has access to more resources than the "Elite" of a type 1 civilization.

Tyrannical regimes do not progress, they stifle progress to keep their monopoly.

The mind boggling resources that we *ALL* could have access to... completely dwarfs whatever pittance your little "Clique" thinks is the "Cat's Pajamas"

IT's absolutely nothing to a civilization that has advanced beyond the point where your little Ego games are keeping us....

All of the "Privileges" that you have access to, Every last one of them.... would be absolutely NOTHING to a civilization that has been allowed to progress, where you have stifled progress to keep your monopoly.

Replicators, HoloDecks, All of that Star Trek stuff... We most likley could have HAD all of that by now....

And your "Elite Privilege" would be seen as like the most privileged tribal chieftain in a south American rain-forest.

Sub-Standard to the Normal access that every citizen of the first world possesses.

This is the same way I look at it. They are blind. Their egos so great, that they'd put a crutch on the entire human race so they can, uphold some sense of delusional nobility. Yes you must be the greatest humans to ever live. Yes space-time itself will remember you as the ones to be a spear in the side of humanity, perhaps the greatest sociopaths of all time. Truer words have never been spoken, beautifully done. I have even tried to look at a scenario where if we where all subject to a single world rule, what wonders could we create combining all the resources of the world. Unfortunately the senseless desire for wealth and power would prevent such a possibility. My reasoning is simple; even if we all had everything we needed to live, free of charge, and technology that would allow us to travel to distant stars and perhaps even create something akin to say the federation, TPTB would not be satisfied. I believe instead they would feel less important or powerful than they feel they should be. Humanity would not require such "rulers" if all mankind where fed, sheltered, and treated equally. Even the biggest room in a house full of people seems less than desirable to those who want it all.

You're mixing up 3 entirely different groups of people here. Here is how I see it. The Illuminati are a specialized group of people that work behinds the scenes to manipulate aspects of our reality. They don't necessarily have to be an elite super rich CEO, most of them probably never show their faces in public, and have no set "job" as we do. Intelligence is probably vastly more important than money when it comes to the real rankings of their organization. They probably back the formation of a one world government/nwo sort of things, but that isn't how they should be defined or described.

EDIT: And after reading the rest of your post, I would have to agree with what you say. I think they don't actually care about "our" progress, just their own. In fact, they're probably scared of us gaining too much insight too quickly. Greed. It always comes down to greed.

I can't help but wander the same things too, then I read things like this, and this quote is from Ben Rich, the "Father of the Stealth Fighter-Bomber" and the former head of Lockheed Skunk Works.

Perhaps the elite really do have it better than we can even begin to imagine, that being said why are we kept in the state that we're in?

Why did you do nothing when the people you put into office passed the Federal Reserve, an Illegal Entity (Corp) that will be the eventual colapse of any 1st world economy.

Why did you do nothing when when your gov'ts impressed Communism, Fascism, Socialism, Feudalism.... why did you do nothing.

Why didn't you stop your gov'ts from assasinating political dissidents...

Sadly, Fox is absolutely correct....

People are very similar to social herd animals. They follow a leader, an alpha. If you disagree with the direction and decisions of the current alphas, then please, set up and challenge them for leadership. Until you do, you are nothing but hot air. I realize that is harsh but it is the truth.

Time and time again, I see people complain about their circumstances but do little or nothing to change them. No one will lift you up where you think you belong. You must do it for yourself....

Now usually comes the whine about how you can't do it because of [insert common complaint here - lack of education, lack of resources, lack of a voice, etc...]. If that's the case, your only option will be to start a revolution. Power of the people over the power of the few. Start down this road and you'll see just exactly how apathetic people are. They simply don't care because they are too fat, stupid. and happy to care. It's the whole pain vs. pleasure principle. Perhaps those leaders you want to denigrate have figured out the magic key to make that happen to their benefit, eh? I would say this makes them smart and to be respected. You have to understand your foe before you can beat him.
