As most of you are well aware, the political upheaval isn't isolated to northern Africa. As opposition protests have intensified in correlation with police crackdown, Yemen's authorities have declared a state of emergency.
Al Jazeera News Link

Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Yemeni president, has declared a nationwide state of emergency, after a violent crackdown on anti-government protests killed at least 41 people, and left scores more wounded, in the capital Sanaa.

This is a worrying turn of events, especially for the opposition groups located in Yemen.

I find this quite alarming.... SO many protests going on in so many different places- And the US already involved in 3 wars.... How soon before our troops are spread so thin they cant even perform their first and foremost duty- Protecting our country ?

Do you think that the people in Africa can just wait until one countries problem is resolved before starting their civil uprising? I don't think that the UN has enough people to help anymore with all the other crisis's going on.

OK, but seriously now. Calling this a "State of Emergency" when its clearly their way of instituting martial law and thus justifying the killing of civilians. Another country to keep our eyes on right now...

It isn't as simple as waitiing for one country to solive it's problems. People's rationality does not work that way. The global protestors are united under one banner, calling for class equality, freedom, justice and an end to corruption. These aren't isolated protests you are seeing. This is a global political awakening.
