I 've only let fifteen minutes go by since the OP, so the OP may change by the time you see it. This may be the most brilliant OP ever displayed on ATS.

"Let's take a step back and be realistic." The headline grabbed me. It was so unusual in a sea of threads which take the smallest event and make it the cornerstone of a plot to enslave mankind. Or perhaps you'd rather be surrounded by the threads which recommend that all of society be torn down and we should all just farm our back forty.

I really wanted to see what could support this startling headline. When I saw the post was blank I started laughing, then realized it was a stunningly appropriate comment on the value placed on stepping back and being realistic.

A flag is the least reward I can offer.

I'd star this too if I could!

I can only guess what was in the minds of the other posters, but I've had another thought. Maybe the author looked at his headline and decided that it was so implausible he would just have to give it up. Or, perhaps he was seized with the same laughter I was and hit the Enter key by mistake.
