fukushima

This name fukushima sounds alot like hiroshima. Does anyone know what the two names translate to in english? fukushima in my opinion sounds like its trying to offend someone.

Im not trying to joke or sound ignorant, my best judgement tells me not to start this thread now and to just take this seriously......but i am curious,very sorry if i hurt anyones feelings.

Fukushima means " Blessed Island"

Hiroshima means " Wide Island "

fuku translates to fortune or good luck.
Shima translates to island.

Well you could have just googled it. so I take it 'shima' is island? Not sure how beautiful it's going to be for awhile
