I just don't understand...
We're demanding Gadhafi 'the tyrant' step down, and there be a peaceful transition to a more democratic state.... We are even willing to go to war
with Libya to make this happen. And at the same time, Saudi tanks and troops are rolling into Pearl Square in Bahrain, and the only response from
Obama was on Feb. 18th, saying he's 'deeply concerned'.
Why doesn't Obama demand King Abdullah or King Hamad step down in the light of violent protests? Why do we care so much about the Libyans, yet turn a
blind eye on Bahrain? Rhetorical question.
We're always condemning 'oppressive leaders', and for god-knows-how-long the Saudis have been oppressing their people. The US could care less about
oppressive states or the welfare of foreigners. What it comes down to is its influence & control over that oppressive state. If they don't play ball,
they get the boot. As history has shown us with Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Guatemala ect.
Don't be fooled.
