If aliens are so advanced, how is it that they're always getting shot down or having mechanical malfunctions that cause them to just randomly crash on our planet?

Reports of Alien disks downed by the use of high power radar and other means and Robert (Bob) O. Dean told that an alien telepathically 'asked' an officer to turn off the radar, and after the officer turned the radar off, the alien then left with the UFO. Bob Dean told that some UFOs' control systems are sensitive to our radar waves. Bob Dean - Camelot Interview (part 1) From about 41:23 in this Camelot Interview Bob Dean told that Phil Corso met an alien at White Sands were the alien 'said' >Please turn off your radar, it disturbs my control and guidance system, so i can leave

Thumbs up for this great thread 'Evilcommunist'
I want to add this Russian UFO crash 1991 'Grave of the Devil' (page 1) and (page 2) case. A 600 meters long cigar shaped UFO flied within the Russian borders, and some Mig-29s were then ordered to force that UFO to land. The pilots saw unusual "Not of this Earth" green hieroglyphic signs on it, and tried to communicate with that UFO, but there was no response. And when the pilots were about to fire warning shots, the Mig-29s malfunctioned and the engines stopped, and the UFO escaped. After a while the pilots could turn on the engines, but it was too late to try to catch the UFO again. Radar tracked the object which at this time was zigzagging at astonishing 42,000 miles per hour, before it crashed at the area of "The Grave of the Devil". An expedition walked to the area, and confirmed the crashed UFO with the unusual "Not of this Earth" green hieroglyphic signs on it. But they were not able to come closer to the crashed UFO than 800 meters, and a helicopter hovered over the crashed UFO, but malfunctioned and crashed. Later the crashed UFO and the crashed helicopter were gone, probably removed by the military.

Great story. What kind of radar did you say the Soviets were using to track this thing over Mangyshlik from Kapustin Yar? Can you measure that range on a map and compare it to the known range of radar visibility of vehicles at that altitude, and explain why the claimed range is so many time greater than the radar's maximum possible range?

Sorry to let reality intrude again and killjoy the wondrous tales.

UFOs that cause military jets to malfunction is not unusual, it happened both in the United States as well as in the Soviet Union, were Russian as well as US military jets malfunctioned when they chased UFOs, even some of the pilots died in some cases. And this 1991 UFO encounter and crash case include Mig-29s that malfunctioned when they tried to fire warning shots. Seems realistic enough. Another thing, the expedition team reportedly saw the green symbols on the object as the pilots reportedly did...

Who says they used radar from only one place? Sorry to let reality intrude again and killjoy the misunderstood point of view.

Russian crash retrieval report 1947 A 5-6 meter long UFO was reportedly recovered in Kiev, Ukraine and transported to northeast of Moscow in 1947. The report show that it was established that the object had been underground for several thousands of years (approximately 3,000 to 5,000 years). Upon examination it was established that only the front cockpit section of the craft had been found. Originally the craft must have been around 11-12 meters long. Unfortunately the engine compartment was in the stern part that was never found. The front section had been cut away as if by a laser beam. The craft was obviously not of terrestrial origin and of non-human manufacture, since it had 2 small chairs for two very small pilots that had been obviously 1.2 meters in height (the cabin was empty and the bodies were never found). Sophisticated equipment, control instruments with levers, buttons, etc and panels found inside. The strangest thing was the unknown inscription in an unknown language found inside the cabin. After deciphering the language it was determined to have been ancient Sanskrit - or the ancient Indian language. Later speculation was that the object was some kind of ancient 'Vimana' described in ancient Indian manuscripts like the 'Vimanika Shastra', etc.

A very good thread, thanks evilcommunist.

Jim Oberg loves chasing wild geese, like the silly 'Grave of the Devil' story.

But the Dalnegorsk crash and its 'mesh material' covered in Internos's excellent Dalnegorsk thread is far more interesting scientifically.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Evidently several independent scientists at the University of Vladivostok studied the material and could not identify it as a product of known terrestrial technology. Having studied the popular information, in English and googled Russian, available on the internet, and the intriguing photomicrographs I cannot come to any conclusions. Many of the commentators lack sufficient technical knowledge.

As a Roswell sceptic, I find the Dalnegorsk mesh material, with its 15 micron gold threads insulated by woven tapes of alpha quartz, by far the most plausible candidate for material of 'possible ET' origin.

But I've not been able to find any high-quality technical review of the Dalnegorsk incident and the mesh material recovered after the crash.

Wonder if evilcommunist or anyone else can help?
