East Coast dogs/cats?

I live in N.C. and in reply to this post I just wanted to throw out there how strange it is that my cat did not come home today! He is ALWAYS around and has never just disappeared before. I realize animals do this all of the time but was just wondering if there has been any strange animal behavior today.

I wanted to add a little something that may be of interest. I live in the tristate area of New York City. I live in the boroughs.
I am not sure if it means anything; however I thought I would share. My dog for the past week or so keeps running to the back of the house and standing under the window and barking. whimpering. He goes to the same location every time. Also, about 10 days ago there were 3 deer in the wooded area behind my house. There is a small wooded area of perserved land that runs along for about a mile behind my house and rows of townhomes.
This is very unusual occurancel In the 10 years I have lived there it has never happened. The area I live in is very populated and a "metro" area that just so happens to have small patch of wooded area . It is possible the deer traveled over from Jersey as the water in certain points of the river are pretty shallow. The three deer did not seem skittish at all . MY husband threw some apples to them and they did not run away. Having said that; this was before the Super Moon we had on the 19th, so maybe that was the cause or just a freak thing. Not really sure but I thought I would let you know ...Peace

My psychic kitty has been bonkers all day, meowing (caterwauling more like), scratching things to get my attention, running to the windows, up on hind legs and batting the air.

Maybe it's the power of persuasion, but just seems like something is up in this little one. Northeast PA, btw.

Anyone else??

My dog kept on whimpering and shaking. Usually, he's very calm and I just told him to knock it off. He wouldn't quit, and I made sure he wasn't sick. It's very strange.

We live on the military base so it's not unusual at all to hear artillery and planes throughout the year. But this last week they have been going nonstop and they seem to have ramped up the activity

I live a couple counties away from Ft Bragg and they are rattling MY windows and buzzing MY farm too.

I'm in New jersey and I own a cat. He's completely normal, hasn't acted any different than usual. Interesting to know some people's pets are acting strange though. I guess it should be expected considering we all pretty much have a minor case of radiation poisoning by now. I'm sure some animals can sense the increased radiation levels.

I'm in VA. a hop, skip, and a jump from you. My 6 year old chihuahua has recently started "talking" as well. Real high pitch whine/talk thing, like she is actually trying to speak. We recently added a 10 week old male chihuahua to our brood a couple of weeks ago. While she was not instantly happy with the decision, she didn't do the "talking" thing until we had him for over a week.

So while I can not say with 100% positivity that the new baby didn't make her "talk", I can say that there was a gap between his arrival and her change. It could be that simple, or it could be something else. Too bad they can't really talk to tell us straight out what they are feeling.

It's been my observation over the last few years running a network of people with animals, that the animals do not sense an impending quake, but they "feel or sense" the earthquake soon after a quake has occurred. In a network of people, for example, someone on Vancouver island with dogs, posts that her animals have just begun to behave oddly, if a quake struck her moments after, then perhaps with minutes notice, she can inform other people in the area on the network of the quake that's coming.
So yeah, do animals sense impending disasters? I don't believe so. Can they sense an "event" has occurred before we "feel" the shaking? I believe so, and that's where the Science needs to look.
