This is a lot like Saudi Arabia where the Shiites ended up demonstrating not for Freedom, but for Theocratic Dictatorship under Sharia Law. The Shia want a worse system than what they have.

I've noticed lot's of people misunderstanding what is happening and falsely thinking all these riots are for Freedom. They are not.

Look at Egypt, now under a Military Dictatorship and it has not sunk in yet that elections may never happen and if they do, they likely can not be trusted. We may end up with yet another country under that dangerous Theocracy and the people of Egypt may have it worse than before.

One thing is for sure, Islam needs no enemies as they do a great job of killing each other in large numbers, day after day. All over differences in the same Religion.

Things are bad for the people over there. Pray for those fighting fro freedom across the region.

You see there is the problem. Many are not fighting for Freedom. Those who wanted Freedom in Saudi Arabia hid out when the Shiites took to the streets. The Shiites were protesting for a Sharia Theocracy which is less Freedom than they have now.

In Bahrain the Shia uprising is not about Freedom at all.

People are broadcasting their wants and wishes on this and not realizing what is really going on. The Middle East is not going to be Free. There is no relationship between protests in the West and what is happening there now. That is simply untrue.

In Egypt, yes they were wanting Freedom but not all of them. Now they are under a Military Dictatorship for the moment and it remains to be seen where that goes at election time. Cross your fingers.

In some of the other cases, if the protesters win the replacement for the current Dictator will be far worse.

Dude where did you get this misconception? being from bahrain, i will only debate the situation here. do you even know the demands of the protesters here? since when the abolition of corruption, political reforms, stoping discrimination, and demanding basic freedomes for all bahrainis equates to "sharia theocracy" ?!

do you know that many secular groups, along with sunni and shiite groups, comprise the movement that is putting these demands forward? the government is trying to downplay that by claiming that its a shiite unrest and turning the political uprise into a sectarian one. thats how they justified targeting unarmed civilians with military and mercenary death squads in the name of restoring order. it was NOT a security issue all along it was a political one. hence the solution should have been a political solution, not local and foreign armies going after peaceful protesters with live ammo from infantry, tanks, and heliochopters. not to mention the rift that they created between the once united sunni/shiite sects by giving the sunnis an illusion that they are under attack from the shiite through the propaganda machine manifested in Bahrain TV the state tv station.
