ATS is blocked on DoD Computers but others are Not.

I thought this was pretty odd.
ATS is blocked on DoD computers but Infowars.com is allowed? Yet PrisonPlanet.com is also blocked.

This seems weird to me, How about anybody else? Does anyone have any thoughts or reasoning for this?

The source for this is me so there is no link.

I never tried to get on ATS at work before today, but I heard about a 3rd explosion at a Japan Nuke plant from the MSM today and wanted to see what was up.

I figured as long as I didn't log in it should be cool, but nope. ATS was blocked

Thats a sure sign they know there are secrets here on ATS.
Why else would they block it?

Well then the CIA has saved many lives with the information that Jesuit assassin ninja black belt illuminati man-bear-pig agent Alex Jones has broadcast to the public.

I agree.

Even if he is a disinfo shill, alot of people originally had their eyes opened to the fact that things are not as they seem, by listening to AJ, and gone on to form their own opinion about what is going on.

From my point of view he has done more harm than good to the PTP.

But who knows? We really can't believe anything is true anymore except ourselves.

No but I got that Tiger blood! Unfortunately, I am not as winning as Charlie, as is stated in my signature below.
Back on topic... if ATS is really blocked then that action can only mean that... it is in a list of sites that DoD finds inappropriate content. May be because they are insecure about that information being a threat to them, or insecure about their employees seeing that information.

Dunno if infowars has any wikileaks stuff on it, but ATS definately does, and that would be a reason why the DOD would be blocking it.

I've used a DoD NMCI computer every day for the last ten years. For the four years or so that I've been on ATS, I've never been denied access.

But it seems that hell will freeze over before I can go to miamidolphins.com or gamefaqs.com

It merely means they don't want anyone working there to find ATS and think, "Welp, if I can't send this information to Wikileaks, I'll send it over to ATS!"

We're the largest conspiracy-themed forum, I believe. I can understand the fear.

IF the DoD banned ATS, I would guess it was Wikileaks related.

Cant let the people you pay and brainwash to betray their own country get wind of the fact that they are actually working for the bad guys, can you? You dont want someone else going Manning on you.

I believe a few of their serving employees where a little too liberal with their information while at work.

I've been on another board that was shut out for a while too.
Same problem.

Part of SWIM's job is to make sure access to potentially dangerous sites are blocked from networked computers. It certainly isn't blocked at one place throughout the whole DoD. ATS may have just showed up on a categorical filter that some network admin decided to implement or perhaps SWIM just noticed that a lot of people were visiting the site while looking through the firewall logs.

This might explain it:

This was actually exposed about 3 years ago or so which resulted in ALOT of members being banned. I'll leave it up to your imagination as to why. Essentially some computer savvy members tracked this sites server locations/ip's to the department of defense and started a huge debate about this site actually being ran by agents from the DoD. Do some googling I'm sure you will find it.

I guess this clears up some of the disinfo agent accusations that everyone likes to toss around!
