That's 900 too many in my opinion. I am one of those who don't believe we should be in Iraq, but unfortunately I don't get to make the decisions.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A Web site message purportedly from a group linked to suspected terrorist mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi warned Muslims and Arab countries against sending troops to Iraq and made a special threat to Japan.

Find me a deathtoll on the number of insurgents killed and we'll discuss.

But then again, if you search for it, you wont find it.. because then you'd realize that the US death toll is pale in comparison to the number of insurgents we've killed. And then the news wouldnt have anything to talk about.

I wonder how many Iraqi's have died so far. To me, an Iraqi life is the same as an American life. Its funny though how the media doesn't care. We lose 1 American soldier and people freak out. We bomb a school and kill 150 Iraqi children, who cares?

Sorry, I wasn't quoting an actual event, just showing my opinion of how the media sees things. They give practicaly no time to Iraqi casualties (civillians or otherwise). I don't know if we've hit a school or not, but I wouldn't be supprised given how little the media cares.

It's not a game on who is dying the most.

Almost 900 American deaths and WHAT do we have to show for it? A backward country that is now FREE??HA! For how long? How long will it be before the Iraqi government decides it just doesn't like us old Americans getting into their business. I predict that they will be back to a country being run by religious tribes and in the middle of a civil war.

So 900 (and more coming) lives lost just for Bush's little war! What was he trying to distract us from with this war anyway?

There are over 5000 wounded, and thanks to the fancy body armour alot of what would be fatal attacks are survivable. Soldiers near RPG blasts now no longer die, they just lose their eyes and a few limbs. I bet alot of the wounded wish they were dead.

My brother called and asked us if we could send him a scope and a kevlar vest. Sadly enough the government doesn't pay for you to have these things unless you're infantry.

That is pathetic. You are sent into a hell hole to do a dangerous job for your country and they dont even supply you with a kevlar vest? How is that possible from the world's richest nation?

This number was inaccurately reported by the Department of Defense. The actual number of wounded is over 16,000. I posted this in a thread here:

www.atsnn.com...

...the Pentagon confirms more than 16,000 U.S. service members have been wounded or injured in the Iraq War. DoD failed to report 11,000 soldiers who were wounded or injured.

They weren't reported since they weren't combat casualties, i.e. the truck they were driving hit a tree, or their helicopter crashed because of mechanical failure. Absolutely sickening.
