I just love Nigel Farage, the guy has class and charisma, and he is very intelligent as well. At least he defends the sovereignty of his beautiful nation from the greedy totalitarian European Union. But of course he will have the labels of ‘radical’ and the like thrown at him for defending his own nation, which is of course expected from the cultural Marxists, globalists, and statists who go by any name under the rainbow today. Conservative, Liberal, Socialist, Communist, Anarchist, Environmentalist, what have you, they use all those different names for the cover of the truth.

Our modern world is developing two fronts which can be seen growing in every nation in the Western world. Nationalism vs. Globalism, I for one take the side of patriotic pride, I am a Nationalist, not in the sense of Hitler and Mussolini rather in the sense of removing my nation from the tentacles of international bankers and businessmen who use these international organizations such as UN, WHO, WTO, and NATO as a mask to hide their hideous evils.

So who are you with? Are you a nationalist and side with the likes of Nigel Farage and Ron Paul? Or are you a Globalist who sides with all the current leaders of the EU, Western nations, think tanks, international organizations, and Central banks?

Nationalist or Globalist... Well, your question made me think of the Anthem (not "National Anthem") of the European Union: Beethoven's "Ode to Joy." Seriously: All at the same time it's groan-inspiring, syrupy-sweet, pedestrian, insipid, tiresome, cringe-inducing, and Politically Correct. And its intended purpose is to mask one of the most hideous evils of all time in sweetness and light. Oh yeah--I'm with those guys.

I just wonder why no one else recognizes that the whole ‘Socialism v. Capitalism’ bit is over and we have entered a new era of ‘Nationalism v. Globalism’ and so-far, the Globalists are winning with little to no opposition.

I favour British withdrawal of the European Union and entry into the EFTA.

I also think Farage is a twat.

Mr Farage said in his video that the United Kingdom "works because it has consent" ; i.e. a majority of the electorate in it's constituent countries agree to come together as one unitary state. He seems to conveniently forget that the new Scots Parliament has now got a clear majority of members from many parties who want Scotland to break away from the UK altogether.

I wonder where that will leave him ? "English Independence Party" perhaps ? Sounds good to me, it's not like he or his party represent anything in Scotland or Northern Ireland (or Wales either, if we're honest). And he's got a bit of a damned cheek, this blowhard, standing in a European debating chamber & claiming to represent the "poor downtrodden" British voter when his electoral support is totally negligible.

Nation state or federalism ? I think if you look at recent European history, you'll soon see that the EU is a formidable political achievement. 60 odd years ago people across that continent were recovering from the most disastrous war in human history. Today Europe is the worlds largest self contained single market & 10% of Britons are directly employed in providing goods and services to that market.

Our contribution to the EU is buttons in the grand scheme of things. To advocate withdrawal is economic lunacy of the highest order.

Federalism, all the way. For Scotland, anyway.

England can revert to the piratical ways of the Virgin Queen all she likes.

The SNP have promised that there will be a referendum on continued Scottish membership of the Union in a few years time. Nothing will be done in terms of Scottish independence at least until then.

He's the party leader of the party which came second (behind the Tories) in the 2009 European elections in the UK.
