Chapter 1: The fall of Lunitari

Come home Tanis... We miss you

Tanis woke with a start, he laid in bed drenched in sweat and with the covers on the floor. How many times had this same dream haunted him so? Tanis sat up and looked out of his window. His house sat high on the branch of a mighty Vallenwood Tree. Only in his home town of Solace do these mighty trees grow.

"Morning Honey" whispered Laurana, Tanis' beautiful elven wife. Tanis smiled under his ginger beard and tucked his hair behind his slightly pointed ears.

" How's my lovely half-elf today?" asked Laurana while Tanis was getting dressed. Tanis turned and gave her a hug and whispered in her ear.

"I'm fine hunny, and don't forget me and Ikarus are going to Que-shu today". Tanis opened the door and found his son Ikarus on his horse and waiting to go. On his back was his fathers sword and on his finger was a ring that was given to him on his birth.

"Come on dad!" Ikarus Shouted "if we leave now we'll reach Que-shu by the third fall of the red moon Lunitari!"
