Odd Figure in My Picture?

I'm about 95% sure that this was taken in our hotel's bathroom (we had just gotten all gussied up and ready to go out, but decided to take a picture before we hit the strip). Now that people are questioning, I'm going to check with my friend and see if we also took a picture in a public bathroom? (Sorry, this was about a year ago as I said) The other face that doorhand found freaked me out. When I first looked at it on here, I thought "pfft that's just my face, somehow reflected or distorted or something, the camera must have messed up, problem solved", but when I looked at the original for comparison, my head is tilted at a different angle and I have a pretty different expression. I must admit, I am very skeptical of ghosts and whatnot, but this picture just creeps me out!

Let us assume, arguendo, that I was mistaken and this was taken in a public restroom. Is this "blackout" type figure typical of background subjects? I don't know much about digital photography, and my skills in picture editing are limited to microsoft paint. I am approaching this with all honesty; if someone could explain the black figure, I would love to figure it out!

that's a public restroom... call the hotel up and ask them what the bathroom looks like in the room you stayed in. i'm sure it was just a sink with one mirror facing the shower, not huge restroom with two sets of sinks and mirrors across the room from eachother, wouldn't have such high ceilings, wouldn't have health signs, wouldn't have people walking in the backgrounds of them. the reflection is probably just that woman's shoulders and not her head.

edit: i'm sorry, actually there is no way that reflection in front of the blur is the same thing, that mirror is on a side wall, and no way is it reflecting what isn't facing it, even in the other mirror (which it isn't) the black object in the mirror is likely a hand drier or soap dispenser across from that mirror next to the sinks behind you...

OP - you're going to have to post the original picture UNDOCTORED so that we can get a view of the shadow behind you in the mirror, as well as the tiltiing of your head etc....

In looking at the edges of the shadow figure it does appear to be moving pretty quickly which is why the edges appear to be blurred.

You don't have to provide or prove anything.

The camera had a slow shutter speed..ie.. non flash... the object in question was a passer by, I do think after brightening and playing with the zoom a bit I can see that the figure was walking right to left and you can see eye glasses...barely...Sally Jesse Rapheal style ..big glasses, only beinfg able to see the sparkle therough the dark curly hair, so in essence your looking at the left side...slightly back side , of a womens head wearing glasses...IMHO.

But hey I am not an image expert, I do live in Vegas.. the bathroom layout looks more like one of the "station casino's" Palace, Boulder, Sunset....

The zoomed up image of the face in the 90 degree side mirror I'd lay big vegas odds that it is the persons face holding the camera...

The creepy figure in your pic is just a reflection of a reflection of you (or your friend's) back. The mirror being perpendicular to the mirror behind you is reflecting the image from the mirror behind you. The woman walking behind you has her reflection blocked in the image by you/friend but the reflection of her back in the mirror you are facing is reflected/visible in the mirror behind you (outlined in red). The girl on the left of the image (you or your friend) is highlighted in blue, as is her reflection (of her back) highlighted in blue near the camera which is the image that is reflected in the mirror to the right (again, highlighted in blue...lol). One tell tale sign is the (light bar?/steel pole?) reflected above your friends (your?) head in both reflections.

Hope I didn't bust any bubbles and I hope my explanation made sense and didn't sound like gibberish...lol I'm an Imagery Analyst by trade so I get caught up in the thought and not the explanation...lol

The reflection on the right is of the girl in black, and the reflection behind the girl in pink is a reflection of a reflection thanks to all the mirrors. Everything in the photo is fairly stable in comparison to the unknown figure. Maybe if you had someone dressed in black spinning in the same spot while the picture was being shot, otherwise I don't see an explanation. When someone is blurred thanks to movement in digital images there's usually something there to distinguish them by, at least a sleeve, a piece of arm or leg, hair, or if they're moving very fast, just a faint blur. But everything about this one strikes me as a bit odd.

It would have been great of you and you're friend to have caught this one earlier on and checked the facts with each other while they were still relatively fresh in your minds, whether either of you recalled someone passing by or checking themselves out or whatnot seeing as it was likely a public restroom. Luckily for you, hotels are a disturbingly haunted location no matter where in the world you go and this image will probably not easily be proven or disproved any time soon. I think it looks weird but like a person walking behind you

Like other people have said, we're going to need the ORIGINAL picture - the (what I believe to be) person behind you may have a reflection in the mirror being obscured by the black boxes. If the person/apparition has no reflection, well then I'm stumped.

Cameras have been known, especially digital cameras, to have 'left out' in a sense, part of a picture; this however is enthralling. You are very lucky that the entity left you unharmed or tampered, as presences with such a bold figure are known to mess with people.
