The spirit is what travels with you through all of the existences and forms you continue to experience. After this life you may live on another planet,or stay idle for awhile,or be an animal .This is widely known to the majority of people on earth. The catholic church distorted reality by having the doctrine of this life only ,and then heaven and hell.Ultimately, these preachings steadily have led to the decline of the catholic church.Reincarnation has been proven time and time again. It is widely acknowledged as fact worldwide by a majority of people.

Spirit is a word. Words are symbols. Humans project all types of meaning on to words like mystical, spirit, and god.
But at the end of the day they are just words for personal mental images.
I'm sure you can get many subjective definitions for spirit and depending on ones religions the answers will be different.

I guess spirit is not matter. But what is it then? A type of electromagnetic energy? Dark matter?
Magic? Ghost Juice? Fairy dust?

There are no individual souls as such. Soul and spirit, to me , are the same thing.
God is spirit, the life force itself.
Think of spirit/god/life as one huge ocean.
All things, including each individual, are waves on the ocean.
The waves looks separate, but they are really all connected, they are all really being animated by the one underlying ocean.

The ocean, the life force, can never die, for it is life itself.
The body with its mind (thoughts), is animated by spirit.
In this life, when someone 'dies', it is really only the body being left behind.
The spirit never dies because life force can not die.
We are the spiritual being having a human experience.

In fact, you are wondering about what God is. God is the experience of him you feel. It can be you feel nothing. Just be the good boy you are. There's nothing wrong about it. It is possible for yourself to be touched by the spirit.
