Discuss the rationale for delegation giving examples of selection procedures work appropriate for delegating and identification of individuals for such tasks.

I delegate to the person closest to me at the moment delegation seems appropriate regardless of skill sets or ability. The goal is not successful completion of a task, it is to get that task off my plate as quickly as possible.
Works every time.
