Is Bradley Manning(man who sent Collateral Murder video to wikileaks) being Tortured??

Allegations are flying around on Twitter that Bradley Manning, the incarcerated whistleblower accused of leaking material showing the USA's wrongdoings in the Middle East, is being tortured.

Salon.com's Glenn Greenwald twittered "a major story brewing is the cruel, inhumane treatment - torture - to which Bradley Manning is being subjected". According to Greenwald, more is to be revealed later.

"BRADLEY MANNING (former soldier, who sent 'Collateral murder' video to wikileaks , which showed soldiers murdering innocent civilians in Iraq) is still being held in prison at United States Marine Corps Base Quantico Brig in Virginia and he IS NOW BEING TORTURED.
He was forced to strip naked on the evening of March 2nd, 2011, left naked in his cell all night and forced to stand at attention for the facility's five a.m.

Is any of this true?

Last I heard:

Manning is only allowed to leave his cell one hour a day and has no contact with other prisoners.

Even in his cell, his activities are strongly restricted. The light is kept turned on 24 hours a day, he is prohibited from possessing personal items or exercising, and he has no access to basic items such as sheets or pillows.

They're torturing prisoners at guantanamo bay so i wouldn't doubt hes being tortured .

I don't get why they have him in the first place.

Seems harsh.

And how is it that his Friends know that he is being tortured? Last time I checked, high valued military inmates did not have access to email twitter and so on.

I am sure that the report from his attorney is correct. Stating that he all clothing is removed except boxers.
Again, what did he expect? Sunshine, puppies and songs?

Serial killers , Rapists , Child molesters get treated better then this why should he be denied basic human rights .

The only reason they would take away his clothes is if he made some kind of suicide gesture or threatened harm to himself.

Don't believe me, look it up. It's in the prisoner handling instruction for the base. Any prisoner at that facility who would have made a similar claim or performed a similar action would have had the same things happen to them.

Bottom line, he's doing it to himself.

He was stripped of his clothes because he made remarks about committing suicide with his underwear. "Torture"? Right. If he DID hang himself with his underwear, THEN what would you say? I can just hear it now: "Manning EXECUTED by Marines!" His lawyer says his remarks were "sarcastic." Uh huh. How can you tell?

Here's a guy in a warm dry environment with three meals a day while his fellow soldiers are in 120 degree heat with 50 pounds of clothing and gear on trying not to get killed by an IED. Now ho is in worse shape? Manning? Gimme a break.

Not only that but people cry out for this piece of crap like hes some martyr..........

It was proven that those tapes were doctored to look like something they werent, not only that they didnt play all the audio files that went along with the full tapes either.........

This guy and Julian are playing the world like their violin , and im laughing at people eating it up.......

Even if the video is/was true and correct, there is still the fact that he stole Top Secret Documents from the Military, and gave them to JA.

if hes being kept that way its cuz they have deemed him a threat to him self thats the only reason they take clothes in jail hes on a 51/50

and if he threatend to kill him self with his underwear then he wouldnt have anything but a blanket and no clothes with people (military doctors) checking on him every 15 minutes for the next 72-84 hours

Seriously, give him back his underwear and his shoestrings. Hopefully, he WOULD off himself and save us the expense of a trial and his incarceration.
