Libyan TV Shows Captured Dutch Helicopter Crew [VIDEO]

Will be very interesting to see what else is revealed in the coming days about what happened. I just don't believe we have the full picture. One question I have is why were these people they were going to pick up so important? A source I found said charted flights were leaving from Sirte that same day. However, the source is citing other sources. I have yet to find whether the story below is accurate.

What’s odd, AD points out, is that on the same day people were being evacuated from Sirte simply by hopping on board charter flights. An “embarrassment” for the Netherlands, as Trouw puts it.

Dutch media is reporting that Gadaffi has accused the Netherlands of espionage. Apparently, Libyan state TV claimed that the helicopter's crew was to pick up or to drop off spies.

I wonder if they'll try to capture our cargo planes as well?

U.S. planes to ferry people fleeing Libya out of Tunisia

Djerba, Tunisia (CNN) -- U.S. military cargo planes are arriving in Tunisia on Saturday to evacuate Egyptians feeling the Libyan conflict, a deadly war spurring a massive refugee flight. Two Marine planes, each with a capacity for 60 passengers, landed at the airport in the Tunisian island of Djerba. U.S. officials told CNN two additional Air Force C-130s seating 80 each are expected to arrive in Djerba to take the Egyptians back home. Two Italian military cargo planes arrived at the airport delivering humanitarian aid. There are at least 10 evacuation flights scheduled for Saturday, three sponsored by Britain, three by Spain and one by the Italians, said Firas Kayal, a spokesman for the United Nations refugee agency. Nine of the flights are to evacuate Egyptians and the other is for Malians. There are a few thousand Egyptians left in Tunisia awaiting evacuation after more than 40,000 were taken home.

Another situation...

(Reuters) - Libyan rebels have captured a special forces unit in the east of the country after a secret diplomatic mission to make contact with opposition leaders backfired, the Sunday Times reported.

The team, understood to number up to eight SAS soldiers, were intercepted as they escorted a junior diplomat through rebel-held territory, the newspaper said.

The Foreign Office said in a brief statement it could neither "confirm or deny" the report.

Not confirmed yet, it was claimed by Human Rights Solidarity as well as the Sunday Times (not yet clear who their source is), the FO and the MOD have declined to comment as you would expect.

A good few questions that need answering, to say the least! So much for buddying up with the rebels, that certainly went breasts-skyward in a big way. I doubt that their situation is as risky as the Dutch soldiers, but you never know. It's likely to be more politically sensitive, though.
