I think I stumbled on a way to speed up ATS/BTS for Dial-up 56k

I am/was thinking about 4hrs ago, 'the ATS board refresh is really slow'!! tonight.
Anyhoo, I log-in to BTS and now ATS & BTS are as fast as lightning.
My pootas Kung-fu fighting...

Seriously, I just checked my conn' speed (45333bps) and after i did the
above the board is much faster.

Cool. It's the same for me. It isnt THAT slow anymore. It's slow probably because we've go to many visitors.

If a member logs-on with dial-up, login both ATS and then BTS at the same time. It works for me.
Twice as fast...as a Snail towing a caravan.

But, my theory does work for Dial-up 56k

That's eeeuuummm.... weird. Being a techy guy, and I'm trying to find a logical reason why it would be faster, but can't think of anything.

Aaaaah the days of dial-up.... Can't really say I miss 'em lol...

I'm no geek myself - far from it - but wouldn't logging in make rge pages serve up faster due to cookis being enabled?

BTW - in the ATS store [on LHS of "My ATS" ], you can spend 50 points to enable low bandwidth access. What does that mean?

I can't get hi-speed conn', because I live in the bush. But I have a fast poota',
and when i log 2 both ATS/BTS it's faster. I reckon it saves the the servers some 'crunching'.

Low-bandwithd mode turns off most of the bells and whistles (avatars, pictures, background colors, etc..)

I think he meant loggin in BOTH ATS & BTS, instead of simply ATS.
