BREAKING - Judge Rules Julian Assange CAN Be Extradited to Sweden

London (CNN) -- A judge ruled Thursday that Britain can extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to Sweden for questioning over allegations of sexual misconduct.

At Belmarsh Magistrates' Court in London, Assange sat in the dock as the ruling was read and showed no emotion. Later at a news conference, he lashed out at the extradition decision.

He said to thrust someone into a foreign land where someone does not speak the language or understand the judicial system "is a very grave matter."

One of Assange's attorneys, Mark Stephens, said Assange, an Australian citizen, will appeal

This story was buried on CNN in their "World News" section.

Even with everything going on in the Middle East, you'd think a story that got the sort of coverage it did when he was arrested in the first place should get more coverage in MSM.

Just goes to show that TPTB are probably just hoping this story gets ignored by the masses.

No mention of this story at all on the BBC Website, or on World Service.

He's being extradited for "questioning" - he hasn't been charged with any crime yet in Sweden and they're still extraditing him. What's the betting that the minute Swedish authorities are done "questioning" him, they will send him to the USA, not back to Britain?
