Colorful Lights in Sky Over Vancouver (VIDEO)

KATU in Portland has video of a colorful UFO over Vancouver.

The video begins with a short story of some sort of black panel falling from the sky crashing into a persons house. A part of some black project or the front panel of a dishwasher?

Anyway the video of the UFO is interesting although if I had to guess I'd say it was a clear helium balloon with a bunch of LEDs and a microcontroller inside it. In fact it almost looks like you can see them resting on the curve of the bottom of the balloon.

What do you guys think?

Because you never know. I'd like to get other people's opinion.

What I find interesting is this woman is obviously of sound mind. I find it REAL odd that she saw the fighter jets scream by and the National Guard as well as NORAD says that there were "No fighter jet's scrambled". Why on earth would they lie about that when this woman saw them scream by overhead?

I don't know what the video is of but the fact that jets flew by and then was denied is a bit perplexing.

Well buddy, hes posting the video and link as the balloon theory is just his opinion.

If you actually watched the clip and heard the comment regarding fighter jets heading for an intercept, then that hardly looks to me like the USAF are on balloon watch??

How about contributing to the post with your own comments rather than bounce it back on the OP?

Anyhow rant over. Personally the video footage is too blurry for any real recognition.

The wonderfull colours are probably artefacting from the camera as ive recorded far better footage of venus which shows up as fantastic whirling lights on my camcorder.

Once we sit on this post for a few days more footage and witness statements should come in.

The panel could be anything and there is nothing at all to suggest that this is anything odd at all. Was it blown in by the wind? Who is to say. Snohomish county is quite some distance north of Vancouver WA where the lights were observed.

The video is pretty much useless as evidence of anything unusual - could be a balloon with LEDs. The only thing that makes it noteworthy is the indication that fighter jets flew by. That would be the interesting part of the story for the news team to pursue, but once again, they drop the ball and just make some jokes about it. Typical news coverage.

I think the goatfish summed it up perfectly , helium balloon and a a bunch of LEDs .
The woman in the video says she saw 4 fighter jets ....maybe she did but they had nothing to do with this .

Here's something that no one has brought up yet. The lady is shown the video and basically says, "that's not what I saw." Then she describes some white lines that shuffle back and forth. Maybe there was a UFO that jets were scrambled to intercept and this video is disinformation.

Maybe helium balloons with LEDs are the new disinformation tactic. Whenever there's a UFO they just release some balloons with LEDs over a populated area and take some video of it. Other people also see it and film it. It muddies the waters so the actually sightings are lost in the noise.

The lady said that is not what she saw - meaning, the video did not pick up all of the details. If you look carefully it is the same type of phenomenon that showed up in Stephenville Texas back in 2007. That weird morphing brightly-colored worm thing. That kind of thing is seen a lot in Mexico as well. Even in BC Canada last year there was one like that seen over a lake.

There were two different issues. The Snohomish County issue was the piuece of metal falling from the sky. That had nothing to do with the vancouver incident. Two separate stories.

I wouldn't be impressed except for the four fighter jets in denial. That's what makes this intriguing.

Although that is crazy cool but a lot more complicated than what I was picturing. Imagine if that was released over a populated area at night how many reports and videos we'd get.

This may be the case, we will never know as per what she actually saw. But what about the AF fly by denial? Is it possible that while training, such thing's are not disclosed? And it was just coincidental that the 2 events happened within this time frame?

Too bad that video didn't have any way of gauging how fast it was moving. Or how large it was. Interesting, but what it reminded me of was these blimps that have the LED scrolling ads on the sides. Was this anywhere near an outdoor sporting event where that could have been likely? Maybe the blimp was travelling back to its hangar?

It takes a massive effort and amount of money to create that.
The Vancouver UFO disappeared into high altitude and if someone paid alot of money to make such an LED light hoax it would sure be a waste of time and money.

Not really , everything you need is available online .

How To Make A Mylar Balloon UFO Very similar to above UFO trick, but using a Mylar balloon filled with helium. Attach kite string to the center of one of the flat sides and trim off the balloons valve stem. Scotch tape some small glow sticks (evenly spaced) around the outside edges for lights and release at dusk.
