Do Aliens really posses " Zap Guns " ?

Do Aliens really posses this type of technology or is this a figment of Hollywood's imagination?

Just saw a video on animal mutilations and this old guy said "the damn thing jumped down with a zap gun"

After that, I did a quick Google and it seems the Extraterrestrials and these various "Zap guns" are forever linked. Why an advanced species would travel light years to use these devices to breach a cows epidermis is beyond me.

Why not? They're obviously more advanced than us and if they were smart, they'd have some source of weaponry. This is reminding me of Halo and the Plasma Pistol lololol

As for the aliens - well they obviously only attack those of a lower intellect to flex their mental muscles.

I mean, would you travel interstellar distances just to get a knock down from someone who was smart?

Neither would they - so ray guns are a back up to # you up.

We must first prove whether or not aliens are really visiting our planet.

As far as "zap guns," I would assume any species more advanced than us that has any inclination towards violence would have one. Us humans are not that far from having this technology with lasers and directed energy advancements.

Well if aliens are real I guess why not, here on Earth we have lazers capable of killing so why not in space?

I for one, would be very discouraged if they didn't. Isn't that the whole point of an invasion, that they can run around in their fishbowl helmets and zap our low-tech asses?

As Sahabi already stated, we ourselves aren't really far from this kind of technology.
It will most definitely not be far fetched at all to assume that if aliens are indeed capable of traveling literally mind-boggling distances to visit our planet, that they would also be capable of developing direct-energy weaponry.
We ourselves are currently experimenting with more advanced forms of weaponry like railguns and laser weaponry and are pretty close to manufacture them (railguns) in a small enough size to place on naval ships.

A railgun is basically a very very big "gun" that uses magnetism to accelerate a projectile to speeds much faster than a bullet or even missile, this speed would also give the projectile a very long range, making it possible for a naval vessel to for example take down an aircraft/missile hundreds of miles away in just seconds.
A relatively small projectile could have devastating effects due to the speeds and energy involved.

I'm also pretty sure that the "real" technology of our own kind is decades ahead of what we (the general public) are aware of (That includes the railgun weapon system).
Who knows what we are capable of, let alone ET who could be thousands if not millions of years ahead of us
If that's the case and they are indeed thousands/millions of years ahead of us technologically, something like a railgun would be be child-play to them just like how throwing a rock is child-play to somebody in a military jet.

Off the top of my head I can name two instances that seem credible where a type of "ray" weapon or deterent means was used on humans. The most widely known incident was with Travis Walton in 1976 when he ran underneath a low hovering saucer and was zapped unconscious and knocked back several feet. The assumption today is that he moved within a dangerous emission area underneath the craft and the zapping blast was a way to instantly remove him from harm's way. He was returned several days later, still hurting, but basically intact.

His story is told in his "The Walton Experience" and in the '80's (poor) movie "A Fire Came By." In the book, he does not make the claim or seem to recognize that he was zapped because he had moved into a danger zone and was taken away to nurse him back to health from either or both the zapping and being underneath the craft. I did an article that pointed out that aspect in the 1980s and during a UFO conference in 1989 I heard him indicate that he believe that was why he was taken and was not abducted in the typical sense.

The other case in from the 1960s as I recall, and involved a Florida boyscout master alone in the Florida everglades at night when he attempted to approach a saucer that had come down near the ground. As he got close, he was zapped in the forehead with a beam that left a sunken area in his skin. I believe he was unconscious for several hours and spent some time in the hospital in recovery. That case has been well documented as has the Walton case.

There are other cases that probably can be found in the major UFO data bases.

If you are specifically to know about hand weapons, there are stories around for decades about weapons shaped as rods, etc. being employed. 'Not sure about any specific instances or if any are valid.

That's what he gets trying to get real up close & personal with a mysterious craft , what was he trying to do, get the license plate number

I don't know, even if there were zap guns, what's wrong with the regular guns we use now? I would much prefer a desert eagle to a zap gun.

I favor this post, what animal mutilation documentary did you see that qoute on? There were sightings of actual aliens in the cattle mutilation fields but they were very rare.

Ray or Beam weapon is correct. Supposedly their craft have a strong beam that can basically do whatever they want it to, teleport, abduct, transfer blood, etc. But the actual beam gun is different, the ray gun is a like a small ET revolver that those from underground alien bases have claimed. It has lights on it and and can charge at different levels (do different things).

Zap guns, no, they don't have them.
Their guns actually go "pew pew pew".

If we havent any decent evidence anywhere showing any of these so-called aliens, then why are we wondering if these so-called beings have "Zap guns"??

Who wants to bet that the strange things that folks see in the skies are simply built by us EARTHLINGS on earth and not from elsewhere or "aliens"?? Technology advances quickly and it certainly is not made public and wont be until it is outdated.

It would be much more cost and resource effective to have a weapon that doesn't fire single use projectiles that are useless after firing, possibly missing their target.

To make use of an energy source that either lasts a long time, lasts virtually forever or requires recharging after a sensible, useful amount of time would be the way to go.

This is where energy based weapons come in to play.
