All television is a 'wake up' call. You have to know how to interpret the news, and other manipulations. And, since digital, all the lips are out of synch. Might as well be watching Clutch Cargo.

Regarding the comment of TV being a negative source or something (I can't think of the right word at the moment). Of every form of media that can bring my mood down, I would have to put the internet at #1. I suppose it depends on how you use it, but if I'm feeling really depressed, ATS is a site I want to avoid! Although you'll find pleasant topics here and there, it's easy to find yourself drowning in the flood of negativity that can come from this site.

I recommend keeping a journal of your thoughts and emotions and marking the day and time. You might be able to find some correlation between your feelings and whatever is going on at that time, and then you can take steps to avoid it.

Probably not. Look at Zen Buddhists. They meditate their entire lives and can never completely leave this world, at least not physically. I don't know what happens in their heads.

But hey I live by the motto that if u can do something about ur current situation, do it. If not, oh well, it's the way it is.

Life is a stupid, silly joke anyway. May as well laugh.

I don't know about the brain washing thing, but traveling to an alternate reality could be more than possible in the near future.

This is the attitude that works. Laugh about it. We take our litttle human lives far too seriously.
