Jeremy Scahill - The US Foreign Policy is Creating a Whole New Generation of Terrorists

Jeremy Scahill is an investigative journalist who has extensively covered the involvement of private military companies in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is also a frequent contributor to The Nation and Democracy Now. Jeremy argues that the Obama administration's foreign policy is not significantly different from the policies of the Bush administration. According to him, our policies are building more terrorists and encouraging terrorism everywhere, and blames our interventionist foreign policy as one of the reasons for the growing animosity towards the US in the world.

Jeremy says "When we are bombing civilians, we are creating a new generation of people that are going to want to kill Americans because of what has happened to their families"

This logic is so easy to understand, unfortunately most American's don't see it that way. Its alot easier to blame it on their religion and not the simple law of cause and effect.

and they laugh at candidates like Ron Paul, when he suggests that they don't hate us for our freedom.

Considering these policies have been implemented for the past fifty years, I'd say there's nothing new here.
US foreign policy has been disenfranchising most of the rest of the world to the point where terrorist acts and anti-american demonstrations are common. Could be they have good reason. And BTW, domestic policy seems heading in the same direction, that is, against the populace and their inherent natural rights.
