License In Order to Keep Your Own Children .... At Birth!

Is this for real - I can't believe it has come this far - needing a license to take your new born child from the hospital - talk about supression in the third world OMG! next it will be a 'One Child Policy' like China.

Seems to me like this is one of those causes where there is equal for and against it. Yes, it is horrible if you are a kind, loving, great parent...but look on the flip side. How many children are going home to be abused, in every way, by the very people that brought them into this world? Sometimes for that express reason. Those people should be branded and it SHOULD follow them the rest of their life. People don't change...they either get better at hiding it or sink. I personally would vote FOR it. If I could keep one child from getting molested in any way by some sicko that blames society for all his/her problems than it would be justified for me to register as a parent, in my opinion.

Infowars is usually scare mongering and I couldn't find any other refences on the web.

show more proof and I'll take this serious'ly otherwise becarful who ya trust all news outlets are pushing an angle both mainstream and conspiracy.

If it's on infowars, you can bet it's blown so far out of proportion that the theme of the story is completely false.

I know it's invasive, but I always thought this would be a good idea. Just a simple test to assess the new parents understanding of what they're about to take on. After meeting some outright horrible parents, who eventually lost their children, the damage had already been done. There was a story from a nurse friend of mine who encountered a child with scurvy, SCURVY!!! They let their kid eat whatever they wanted, cause they had heard that children will crave what they need. I think a basic nutrition, health, and development assessment would make some sense.

Although it could go terribly...depends on if you could trust your government not to go overboard.

two points

1. there have been several cases of people being falsy accused what would they do about the brand after their name is cleared.
2. it would also reduce the amount of children being abused if you had them watched by trained goverment officials in the home (via cctv or the like) but not many people would advocate that. At some point you have to accept horrible things happen and you can't both regulate them away and be free.

And yet abortion is legal? Seems to me if we can't tell a woman what to do with her body, obviously we can't tell then what to do with their kids. While I agree there are some people who shouldn't have kids, um this is completely overboard. Bet this will also turn into a supposed race issue as well, I'll leave that to your imagination.

1. I would hope that they would have safeguards where it would be absolute proof accepted only...ie: posession of child porn, fist sized bruises...etc.

2. It would also help if we kept all the children in a centralized location, maybe in a superdome, under care of Mother Theresa...as long as we are going overboard.

I realize s**t happens and people are monsters...but if we can cut down even 1% of this then the children won't be at risk of carrying on this horrible example.

I'm saddened to admit it - I have to agree with this.

Out of 10 people I know who are parents, I know of none that genuinely are good enough parents to have not given their children some major issues to resolve in later life - meaning more negative issues for the respective society to sort out, creating yet more unnecessary pressures to threaten the already tenuous stability.

Not one person I know, sacrifices of themselves enough to warrant being considered a "Good" parent.

My son was born in a mobile home, I caught him unassisted with my bare hands.

I know that I came into poverty with disabilities, and that fate did me NO favors. Nothing but relentless adversity for nearly half a century. Granted I love my family and everyone presently strives to banish old negative ways.
But I know that it is very hard to adopt an animal from a shelter. They do background and credit checks. Whereas years ago, people gave little furred ones away at the risk of dogfight 'trainers'. I recieved my 2 cats because someone -foisted- two newborn ferel kittens on me. If I tried to adopt, I am convinced I'd be turned down. I think some kind of PTB (as authoritarian as that sounds) should make sure parents will be as good, responsible, responsive, intelligent, caring, and moneterily affording, as those we like to see adopt animals.

what do you consider good parents though? This is ridiculous and seems to violate basic human rights.

Child has everything, lovely home, lots of toys, a good school, great education, lots of clothes, shoes and accessories. However the parents are always at work, the child sees them for 1 hour a day. During that one hour nothing is ever mentioned about history, god, nature, mankind, feelings, etc. IS THIS KID LOOKED AFTER?WHAT WOULD THE GOVERNMENT THINK?

Child has one set of clothes, one set of shoes and a few wooden toys. He does not go to school but is homeschooled. He spends nearly all his time with his parents, and is constantly learning and experiencing life with them. IS THIS KID LOOKED AFTER? WHAT WOULD THE GOVERNMENT THINK?

So many people in this thread fall for it hook, line, and sinker.

"It's for the kids" excuse to take freedoms.

Getting about as old as the race card.

Open your eyes people.
