Viruses like that are exactly why i'm on a Mac
From what i've seen, anonymous works sort of like sardines. 1 person decides what to do next, and the other people decide whether or not to follow. if
they don't follow, that 1 sardine is out in the open and gets eaten
But in all seriousness, i think some people seriously underestimate how smart some in anon are. It's a similar demographic to those who regularly
jailbreak & unlock the iPhone, as in the ones who actually make the tools to do it. Sure some might be internet trolls, but others are pretty darn
smart, capable of a big impact, as we've seen with the hacked emails, and the stolen virus. But the most interesting part is that you cannot
effectively shut down anon. Many people have the misconception that anon is run by a small group of people, when in fact, if you've ever visited the
IRC channel, you'll see it's a ton of people, with a few throwing out ideas and some more directing traffic. Overall, they're somewhat disorganized.
But they've gotten pretty far with being so disorganized.
Average convo on IRC:
Person 1: ZOMG!
2: Let's hack & steal emails
3: Yeah! Good idea
4: Bad idea!
3: No, it's a good idea, what are you talking about N00B!!!!
5: Let's fax wikileaks cables to Egypt!!!!!!!
6: I'll fax em, what's the number
7: 999-999-9999
8: Spamspam
9: Stop spamming N00B!
2: here's more info on how to hack & steal emails
