Associated Press
OKLAHOMA CITY -- A large meteor may have been what residents in Oklahoma, Texas and parts of the south-central United States saw streaking across the sky.
The National Weather Service says it received numerous reports of a fireball in the sky around 9:30 p.m. last night.
After discussions with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the weather service says residents probably saw a large meteor.
Officials say they didn't find debris or a crash site last night.
Regional Federal Aviation Administration spokesman John Clabes says there have been no reports of missing aircraft.
