There is always magma underneath somewhere!

Injection yes - but by the gas companies.

Trust me, I am not saying there is magma near the surface there, but there are signs of vulcanism in that portion of the SE US, right?

Too bad Superman isn't around, his super X-ray vision sure would come in handy in situations like this.

Slightly off topic but:

I watched Gasland last night. Oh....My....God.
For anyone with HBO on demand, it's in the documentary ( feature length) section.
I can not recommend this highly enough.

The amount of unregulated drilling is at epidemic proportions. These companies are exempt from all Clean air acts, all EPA regulation, clean water acts etc. The amount of water used at one site alone, and bear in mind, they can re-frack each well numerous times ( 7-15) times, is astounding.
They use 7 million gallons of fresh water per drill site, per frack...you do the math.

I saw last week I believe, that the Gov laid claim to all the water in the Great Lakes. I think we can all deduce where that water will be going. BTW, how smooth was it how they slipped that bill in while everyone was focused on Egypt.

It's an incredible account of what is going on and the water contamination, ecologically how it is taking pristine land and literally turning it into toxic dumps. Heartbreaking health problems for the families who's land has been ruined.
The wildlife in these areas...ugh, to see the horses with their hair falling out and emaciated. The amount of air water and land contaminates tested were at astronomical levels. The film doesn't even touch on the ramifications of how it is destabilizing the very foundation of the country, but a must see none the less.

My apologies Heineken I did not answer your question well as I was not really thinking straight. Since the question was about Yellowstone I have put my reply on the Yellowstone thread.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Just to reiterate for those who do not know/can't remember what this was about it is to do with earthquake deletions.

qvsdata.wordpress.com...

I don't know if it is cold in Arkansas - actually that is me being lazy. I see it is not cold at Little Rock anyway - timeanddate.com

The explanation here probably does not apply in that case.

I wanted to piggy back on what you just wrote that this film is also available on NetFlix Instant, I just checked on that a few minutes ago as I saw the trailer posted on this thread and was hoping to be able to watch it.

So my post will stay on topic I will also add that I have been following this thread very closely, I have read every single post and have a few comments I wish to add-

To the people following the seismic activity, bravo, I am beyond impressed with your abilty, your dedication, and the way in which you present your evidence.

To the people experiencing this first hand, My heart and thoughts are with you.

I am new to this community and very grateful for its presence.

One last thought (straight from the paranoid gland), I think it is great that all this information is being posted and virtually recorded, Has anyone considered saving this to an external source for the sake of maintaining the truth and integrity of posted information? Just thinking about TPTB and how it has been re-iterated that they are not even sharing all the information available. just my thoughts

Who owns the gas companies? I didn't realize or give it much thought until I started reading this thread, but...I think I only have one choice when it comes to purchasing natural gas for my home. I think I have to pay whatever they tell me to pay. Isn't that considered a monopoly? Isn't that illegal?

That's a shame, it should be available world wide because this process is taking place globally.

If you mean signs of active volcanism that is a hotly debated topic. Hot springs do not necessarily mean volcanism.

There certainly was in the past, but then you can pretty much say that about anywhere.

This site freeireland.wordpress.com... has nothing to do with volcanoes but take a look at the picture in the header. I took that picture - it is what I see from my house. They say it is not volcanic but there is gold there so it certainly has been and it sure looks like one!! (That is Croagh Patrick aka The Reek - Ireland's Holy mountain.)

Haliburton is featured heavily. Chesapeake Gas, there were several other they named, I will have to go view it again to give you a complete list, and I will do that on my lunch hour in an hour or so and get back to you.

puterman, can you split up the quakes into a am/pm graph. Showing if there are more quakes during the period when the moon is above Arkansas.

Ya, split the quakes in daytime and nightime in Arkansas. from the 15th to present. Let's see if there's a difference when the moon's in the sky. the full moon that is.

I Just spent an hour checking the news papers and news stations in Arkansas for reports on whats going on.
They are reporting a few quakes individually but the Escort/Prostitution story is more important. It figures.

Do you get the feeling the media is downplaying the story?
Or do you think they're being lulled into apathy by the officials?

Edit to say, by my rough count, since this flurry began on the 15th, there has been about 115 quakes of varying magnitudes. Of course the lists provided by the USGS do not have all the smaller ones on it. Even the ones from the 15th have yet to show up.

I was looking into that myself as well as tying to correlate heavier seismic activity to days of the week to see if there were larger amounts of quakes to weekdays vs weekends. There was no pattern at all that I detected going back to Aug of 2010.
I thought perhaps we would see a drop off on weekends, but, in watching Gasland, they said that the speed at which they come in and clear land and begin drilling operations is frenetic.

Another thing, these families that have had their drinking water poisoned, a lot of them have sued these gas companies, and upon getting any settlement, they have to sign disclosure agreements. Some of them broke the agreements to participate in this film, and if any of them are reading this thread, I applaud you.

Honestly?

I think the Gas companies are pulling the strings and are attempting to hide whats going on just in case it definitively proven to be their fault.
