Thanks Westcoast, much appreciated. We did have an unusual quake here a few months back - have been concerned ever since and then of course theres the Madrid.

I told my neighbor yesterday morning that I didn't know if the swarm stoping was a good thing or bad thing. Well that 4.7 answered that question. When it stops are slows down it is evidently building up more pressure. Oh, I got some water from the creek and tested it on the expert, Sassy my dog won't refuse anything. She smelled it and looked at me like "I m not going to drink it, You drink it" and it didn't catch on fire.

Try another experiment. Go back to the creek and distrub the sediment. Use an old bleach bottle with the bottom cut off. Hold this over the disturbed sediments and slow raise it to the surface. Capture the air as you bring it out of the water. Immediately, cover the bottome. Then, carefully, open the top and see if it will ignite. You can also try caputure and discharged gases from the bottom and if you collect it in a light bag, it will almost float. And could ignite as well. Tricks I learned from watching Gasland.

Thanks Robin - I felt like I was on a water bed. Still do from time to time.

Today is the last day of Earthquake Preparedness Month. Do you think a higher power is giving us a hint? And I don't mean the government.

Some of you may know I am a nursing student, so the symptoms we are all having, dizziness, vertigo, ears ringing, lightheadedness, nausea, have me searching for an answer for everyone. I know that our inner ear (without getting too technical) the labrynth, contain fluids and microscopic hairs that give us our equilibrium. When forces are acting on these fluids and hairs, such as motions, we experience nausea, dizziness, and loss of balance. How does this relate to earthquakes? I am researching this further, but here is an link that I found that gives somewhat of an explanation. I will try to find further explanation..

www.hinduonnet.com...

I don't know anything of this source, but the explanation given makes common sense to me.

Well, maybe it is all just psychological because I am thinking about it....but I have suddenly started to feel very 'motion sick' right now. I am up in the Pacific Northwest, so hopefully it has nothing to do with you guys. I am getting a bit dizzy too...which is what happened last night just before the 4.7. Anyone else have increasing symptoms right now?

Just a thought, but if this "Tidal Wave" is seen/felt on the Webicoders in the West (cue Westcoast),shouldn´t it also bee seen on the Yellowstone Webicoders? Isn´t that like in the Middle of Arkansas and the West?

And here is one for Robin: I thought about the last few Pages on this Thread and the Signatures Trip3 thinks are HT´s in Yellowstone (which are not HT´s according to the Semi-Experts on ATS). Might be worth investigating if those Lines have something to do with the Activity in Arkansas (Maybe a new Fault-Line between New Madrid and San Andreas)

This may have already been posted and I missed it.
Arkansas Geological Survey, Scott Ausbrooks talks about new fault line found in area of quakes.
Scroll down to story/video "Greg Dee Talks with Arkansas Geological Survey" Video -- about 5:50 minutes into the video the fault line is discussed.

I live in California. TIDAL??? Whatever. It's called a ROLLER here, and the symptoms are common. At 4.7 you all just experienced a quake that is exponentially larger than any 3.X quake. Rollers are generally longer lasting quakes than the BANG, SHAKE, IMPACT types. The vertigo from this type of quake sometimes precedes the EQ by a few hours, and can last for a day or two after. I have been in probably 10 EQ's in my lifetime and about half were the rolling type. They are EASY compared to the other kind. Plus, usually they usher out swarms of activity. There will be aftershocks of course, but I bet it dies down again by the end of the week.

HA....I just posted about this on the yellowstone thread. It DID show up in Yellowstone stronger yesterday too.

Here is the YSB station - 27th This is a station in the park that seems to show the microseisms the most

Hope your feelings don't last long - very uncomfortable isn't it. I feel half way alright now - at least I'm not dizzy just a little nervous.

Firstly, I won't discuss anything Trip3 has to say.

Secondly, if you want to go back to the Yellowstone thread you'll find an explaination from the YVO on the signatures. They're were the same wavy lines on the Yellowstone webicorders over the last two days.

Interestingly, yes. Right now I am just chalking my symptoms up to change in weather + sinus congestion however it is somewhat unusual for me. This morning my head has not felt "right" and it seems like my hearing is a bit off. The hearing impairment is very strange because it just feels like pressure in my ear but the sensation is not quite the usual feeling I get when I have a head cold. Since I am located in the north-east US, I am more inclined to think this is air pressure / weather related. Either way, it is uncomfortable and an interesting coincidence.

BTW- I was out in the San Francisco area last week and many coworkers out there were missing work due to a strange head cold which had symptoms including a "spaced out" feeling, vertigo and head/sinus pressure. One coworker joked that it felt like he was feeling "really stoned without the fun part".

Maybe everybody is feeling the effect of a winter headcold or some other bug that is making the rounds these days?

No,you misunderstood me. Its not his Statements but the Activity at Yellowstone and a possible connection to the Arkansas Swarms lately im thinking about.

There is just something i want to check. Call it a feeling.

There is a connection. But it's not a connecting faultline. I'll post a full explaination later. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. It will dawn on me sooner or later on how to present it and make it understandable.

Maybe reading and understanding tides will help. I used to think is was simple gravitational forces which lift the water. But it's much more complicated than that. So it's not obvious. Just look at the webicorders, they looked like a rollercoaster from hell.

Hm,ok.

Anyway, this may be something for PuterMan (don´t know if he already did research that) but after looking for the other Swarms,i noticed something on this Map. N-East and West of the current Ark. Swarm. Maybe PuterMan could look trough it and say if this looks to be travelling. Sure looks like it.

The area to the northeast is the New Madrid Seimic Zone. And the other is Oklahoma. They've been having swarms and there too, there is talk in the press and by residents, is that it is from fracking and injection.

Just a tip for anyone who's been feeling nauseous/like standing on a waterbed etc and it appears to be from this seismic acitivity... Visitors to some threads would know that I'm very sensitive to seismics in some ways (which is one reason I like to live in such a "quiet" region of the world), and when it's really bad I find that eating corn helps.

Yes, corn... It can be corn on the cob, or plain kernels from a can, or even cornflakes. But it seems there's something in the corn. Unless you've got a rather rare allergy to corn, give it a try. It can't do any harm and it just might help you.

Best regards,

Mike
