Solar Flare effect Communication in China

news.xinhuanet.com

BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- A large solar flare accompanied by electromagnetic storms affected shortwave radio communications in southern China on Tuesday, according to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA)

Xue Bingsen, a researcher with the center, said the solar flare caused sudden ionospheric disturbances in the atmosphere above China and affected shortwave radio communications, according to a CMA statement.

This is the second communication problem I have heard of from the flare. We are now under a 60% chance or more M flare. My partner's Ham radio is alright just some skips, lots of chatter re the flares across the airways. Its going to be an interesting few days.

It also affected parts of Korea as well.

Are they really solar flares, or are solar flares just a coverup or excuse for something else? Do we take what they "say" at face value? I understand that a solar flare can disrupt communications, but wouldn't it have to be a pretty big one to do so? And wouldn't the people here on the boards who watch this kind of thing have noticed one this size? Maybe they have and I've missed it? What else can disrupt communications? What about all these magnetic anomalies? Weather? Or are these items also directly or indirectly caused by the sun? This is starting to get very crazy to try keep up with.

The planet needs a massive flare that wipes the earth of all electrics/eletronics.
yes it will be total mayhem (except if you live already without electricity - 3rd worlders - 'the meek?)

At least then the planet can relax and rest from the constant man-made
electro-magnetic bombardment that we all have around us.

We will also see how stupid we all are living a life of total distraction and illusion.

Ahh, the serenity.

So does this mean the west should be seeing some effects when we're facing the sun, might get the old wireless out to check

Explains why my mobile signal is worse than normal out here in the vietnam/laos/cambodia border area.. The past couple days.. Ahh well got some fishing in and patched up a couple holes in my roof.. it will clear eventually .. Till then no worries life here goes on as it always has.

is it REALLY solar flare or HAARP ?
both "target" the same thing :
ionosphere

Comms interferance is not actualy that rare during a solar incident. The BIG flares are the ones that actualy burn out electrical grids and or equipment , and cause a total shutdown and extensive reconstruction of power, and communications grids at once. The difference being that this flare merely caused signal reflection. A big one would have the potential to melt the power and any hardwire communications infrastructure in the effected region.

My work involves the Astra Satellites for Sky TV and at present there are no outages. If any of the 4 Astra birds get affected i will be one of the first to know about and ATS will be the second

I don't think there is any conspiracy here. Two days ago, a X2.2 solar flare has been directed towards Earth, as well as a M6.6 the day before. It may be the M6.6 reaching Earth, I guess the X one will reach us tomorrow. I don't know what it could cause, as our electromagnetic field will already be weakened by the M6.6.

Not HAARP this time.
