So anyone live in England seen anything about this in the news ??

A meteor was seen over in US by Atlantic city also today.. is the sky falling down

hisz.rsoe.hu...

A meteorite strike may have led to emergency services receiving reports of a plane crash in the early hours today. Fire crews from Selby, Tadcaster and West Yorkshire were called to the Whitley Bridge area at about 12.20am as they investigated reports an aircraft may have come down in the area.

However, the six teams did not find any aircraft which had crashed, and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said a meteorite strike was possibly the reason for the alert.

I haven't seen anything on mainstream yet, but there has been a stream of surprise NEO's in the last few weeks, and I am wondering is this from an asteroid collision and breakup, but I have no info' on that scenario.

We're just getting a little bit better at finding and tracking them, that's all. Call the Meteorite Men! Or get yourself a magnet on a stick and go out hunting for them yourself. They're worth money.

But if you see a glowing green or pink blob in the crater, DON'T TOUCH IT!

Meteors hit the Earth every day. Most are small - shooting stars - and burn up in the atmopshere - sometines as spectacular bright bolides - very occasionally a big one will hit the ground as a tiny lump rock. The majority land in the oceans or in uninhabited areas (obviously!).

Apart from the one news report

www.yorkpress.co.uk...

this one does not seem to have drawn the attention of meteorite watchers.
