When is WHITE history month?

How precious, another February on ATS another white butthurt thread about black history month. Interesting that these threads never pop up on other designated months. Actually not so much interesting as it is tragic.

Yeah well - I have white skin and look "Aryan" but technically I am Eurasian.

I am a blue eyed blonde who could be the poster child for Aryan Nation, but I am a Jew.

If I go to the tan spa I am no longer white. I'm not "white" anyway - if anything - Oooooh Jesus - I think I might be one of those "greys"!

And possibly a Reptilian also.

I think I need a Grey Reptilian Jew Sorta White Partially Asian month.

I'd like to know when American born of Cherokee, Irish, German descent month is.

For the record ... I am WAY beyond racism ... I understand that the problems facing human kind is just that ... HUMAN! ....The OP that started this thread has every right to his/her opinion .... but really??? Using that right to start a threat about racism? I thought we were done with that? .... An argument can be made about anti-Zionism ... but the Caucasian race??

like the title, and couldnt agree more. If they can t have a history month for each ethnic group out there, then get rid of black history month, No i am not racist but come on now, what makes them so much more special than the rest of us to get one month every year for tribute.

If you compare the contributions of the various races to the technological and prosperous state of civilization as a whole, you'll find the vast majority of contributions have come from Caucasians, especially in the US. Virtually zero technological achievements have come from Africans, who still live in mud/dung huts, or poor communities, or ghettos, etc.. Blacks who were brought to America during the slave trade were forced into a non stagnant civilization based on technological prowess and growing economies.

Black history month isn't a pedestal of achievement but a relegation to a crutched existence. That the most famous Black off all would happen to be a man who experimented with peanuts his whole life is absurd and embarrassing.. this is especially true in a time now where we have multi million dollar rappers, entrepreneurs, comedians, NBA and NFL players who are all black.

When black history month was thought up, it was supposed to show the segregated black race, that yes, they have made some contributions to the society they lived in and did not have to think of themselves of purely servile citizens. None of it is applicable today.

Black history month is insulting.

I agree! I can't stand when black people bring up slavery. So what! I don't care your ancestors may have been a slave. Because guess what! You're not a slave now. You live in America and for the most part never touched foot in Africa. So why do we have to call you African American? You're an American American nothing more. White people have been slaves plenty times in the past and we don't throw into people's faces. It was the past and the only reason we should dwell on the past is to learn from our mistakes. The lesson about slavery is well taught and it consists of this: DON'T DO IT! We do not have slaves anymore. Black people all have the same rights as us, yet they still play the race and slave card. They did not even know their ancestors most do not even know their ancestor's names. Down south we hear a lot about slavery from black people and it's so annoying. Well hey I'm white and my ancestor's leading all the way back into Roman times coulda been slaves, but I'm whining about it. The world we live in does not have room for racist people or people that think we should feel sorry for them because of the past. I am not racist but I feel all races should be treated equal not have their own month or anything. We all live on this rock together might as well get over. One last thing. Obama only got elected because of his race. "Oh my God he's running for president and he's black! Let's create history and everybody vote for him. Never mind his views or anything, he's black!" Yeah a lotta good that's doing us now. We're more screwed now than we were when we got into office. I don't care if a black person is president, but they have to actually do something unlike Obama. He's has been sitting on his phanny almost the entire time. There's much better better black people that deserve presidency. I don't mean to be rude or anything of the sort. I'm telling it like it is. And I know not all black people are like this.

Let's have a month of history dedicated to settler colonialism!

I think the whole idea of considering race as a relevant factor in who you are, and dredging up irreversible history to use as a bargaining chip - either positively or negatively - is, frankly, ridiculous.

Take the USA, for example:

A black person, a white person, an Amerindian person, are all born the same, in the same country, with the same opportunities, and the same potential to achieve what they want.

It seems to me that racial/cultural indoctrination from an early age creates these divisions, and therefore makes children from the same country grow-up with an inherent guilt/victim mentality that they never asked for, and that they had drummed into them by their parents, and society, as a whole.


The modern-day black American never suffered as a slave, nor did his parents, and he is growing up in the ''land of opportunity''. There is no way that he should grab on to the coat-tails of his ancestors, and claim any kind of inherent ''suffering'' that happened 10s or 100s of years ago.


The modern-day white American wasn't responsible for any past atrocities. He may share the same superficial skin colour or ancestry as some people from hundreds of years ago.
He can't hold a subconscious superiority complex because of the previous racial ''order'' of his country, because he's the same as everybody else.
Having white skin doesn't make him in any way responsible for splitting an atom, or circumnavigating the globe.
Riding on the coat-tails of previous ancestral ''victories'' is equally as nauseating as those who want to wallow in ancestral plight.

Any history from a Euro-Centric region is White history. The History of America, England, France etc.etc. etc.

To grreneyedleo. This whole thread should be 404'd because it goes against "We expect civility and decorum within all topics". It is one thing to go against a religious sect (zionism) but it is something completely different to go against someone based on there COLOR! Expect me to file a report against this thread!

Human history is human history. I don't seem to be alone on this. If you google white history month the question seems to get asked a lot. My age group never did anything to offend other races, we embraced it as far as i can tell. *SNIP* Same goes with sushi, that stuff isn't even a proper meal from what i was taught about food groups, but i supported it. Why do i see so many young people from other races act like they need to be different from white people? What do white people DO that is so white? Modernized? that is white? well there were times that wasn't so, so i would say we have just as much to celebrate but are too scared to because it might offend other races

I've also asked myself these questions many times. Not that im racist at all, it just seems that most races get their own special tv channels and days to celebrate. I figure if we had these things under the "white" race, we would be called racist and people would get upset.

Its all messed up. I understand the culture and all, but every race/religion has a cultural background. It should be about the human culture in general. We're all the same.
