This topic is mostly personal, and perhaps it should be on BTS, but I figured I would try it here first. While I am trying to find the answer, I believe it would be interesting to discuss the topic as well.

When I was young I used to have a rampant imagination and overzealous mind. As events happened in my life, layer upon layer my ideas and imagination started to shrink. It became a task for me to think of new ideas that so easily came to me before.

It seems that a little over a year ago, I reached a point where I had found my inspiration and imagination again and was thinking in full force. I could wrap my head around a problem and pick it apart no matter how difficult it was. I had created new characters, ideas, and philosophies and I felt like the old me again for the most part.

However, it was also around that time that I started dabbling in different types of hypnosis and binaural recordings. Before I knew what I was getting into I had embedded so many ideas in my head that I feel that I have destroyed my thinking process once again. I find it terribly difficult to focus on anything and instead of being able to theoretically "move" ideas around in my head, it simply feels like one solid mass - unmoving and unthinking.

Things like simple match have become hard for me and I feel that I have done a lot to try to counteract the effects. I started buying books to relearn things I have learned in the past, but as I read I find myself bored and uninterested because the information is there, I just can't recall it like I normally should be able to. I find myself opening the script I have been writing for a number of years and just staring at it, unable to continue the plot because I just can't formulate the direction and flow of it, even though I know the entire story by heart.

So I guess my question is this:

Is there any way to reset the mind, so to speak? Is there any anti-hypnosis recordings or mind cleansers out there that can remove the effects of post-hypnotic suggestions and other mental inhibitors? Is there something natural that will open my mind again?

Also I should ask if people have been experiencing similar effects? Be it from binaural beats and hypnosis, or something else entirely. Were you able to overcome it and how?

Maybe it isn't the recordings after all, but a change affecting many people. All I know is that I need to find something that works. The next thing on my list is to start taking a vitamin super dose to see if it is a deficiency of some sort. Hopefully some more ideas will sprout up in this topic.

Old age will clear and scrub out ones mind very effectively . . . try not to be in too big of a hurry to erase what may be useful in future...

Anytime you change th "flow" of the brain and its brain-waves, you begin a process. Its hard for it to "unlearn" it once its been shown something. A multitude of cascading ideas, thoughts, angles, divisions and interpretations can be daunting as they come flying by...and hard to get rid of or to"quiet" them. Im not sure you can.

Transcendental Meditation helps to quiet the mind...but I would be real careful about anymore programming the mind as you are doing looking for bineaural remedies and hypnosis means-to-your-end. You could very well be deepening the processes you seek to limit and control.

My mom does research at UBC in Vancouver. She figures she can re-boot the brain so to speak in order to cure addictions.

funny enough the only ones interested in her research is the US ARMY

I use binaural beats all the time with no negative aspects.

I think you have created your own mental block and you are blaming the hypnosis and beats.

In doing so you have created a conviction that is stopping you.

It is nothing more than psychological on your part, your brain is fine.

Talk to someone professional to help work around it.
