I have some serious questions regarding the comet Elenin...
1.) How big is it?
I have looked all over the internet for the answer to this question and have come up empty handed every time. Is there any particular reason why
astronomers and NASA, with all of their technology would NOT know how big this thing is? Can anyone here give me an idea of how big it is? If not, can
you give me a reason why we should not yet know how big it is?
2.) Why is there nothing about it on the news or main stream media?
I have done a search on google for any news articles related to comet elenin, and absolutely nothing shows up. A comet is about to pass the earth at a
distance deemed "too damn close for comfort" in less than a year, and there is nothing about it on the science websites, or any of the news outlets.
WHY?
3.) Why, when I do a standard "everything related" google search on comet elenin, do I get a bunch of crackpot crap and nothing from creditable
sources?
Ok, I might have jumped the gun by saying "crackpot". However, alot of it is just crap... just opinions and insights from regular people. Why
aren't there search results showing up from credible sites and people? Scientists and government " tax payer funded" organizations???
4.) What are the chances that this thing might actually hit our beloved planet?
I have looked into it, and have noticed that the distances from earth, for which the comet will pass, seem to vary as time passes. It seems that the
calculations are slowly producing smaller and smaller numbers.... what gives?
Lets try to stay focused on answering the questions that I have posted. Please don't turn this thread into a doom and gloom. I just want a little
more info about what the heck is going on with this thing.
