"My chicken ain't no joke. I ain't scared to go up against the Colonel, tastewise," Flav said, referring to chicken giant KFC, in a YouTube video of him frying chicken at Monday's opening.

News Story

I'm not certain what percentage of Iowa's population is black, but I am quite certain that 99% of the customers at Flavor Flav's chicken shack will be white. Were this restaurant to be opened up in, say, Harlem, I think it would be burned to the ground.

I wish he'd just stick to hyping Chuck D.

The biggest question is of all the places in the U.S. - why Iowa? Why not somewhere in the South where he probably is recognized for his music and his reality t.v. show, the fact that fried chicken is a part of Southern cuisine and that people will eat at his restaurant because it's owned by Flavor Flav? Or why not Los Angeles?

OP - I don't know why you are bringing race into this. Regardless of his race, or whatever you're trying to insinuate, people will always like to try new restaurants. Most people like fried chicken but the question remains: why not go to a place in which Flav is most popular?

Haha.. Guy looks like he is either 50 years old or smokin some serious flava-full smack. Love that clock around his neck.

I live in Iowa and was thinking the same thing. I think its the dumbest idea, and it has been open for at least a month already. Makes me hate Iowa even more....if that's possible

I bring race into this because Flavor Flav bases his whole persona around the stereotypical black male. The reason this restaurant was opened in Iowa, in my opinion, is to bank on white guys who want a good laugh.
