Apologies if this has been discussed but I found these strange looking UFOs.

Why didn't you use the search function? These videos have already been discussed on ATS.

*Hints: video #1 search for cigar ufo uk, video #2 search for edinburgh ufo

I did and couldn't find them, hence why I apologised on my initial post.

Try to improve your search skills otherwise you'll just end up spamming the boards. Nobody likes that.

No of course not. I don't like it either!

I know Im off topic here but....it is easier said than done, searching to see if a topic has been posted. People use different terms and it can make it impossible. No need to rub it in to the OP'er with two posts about it!

Hey zog, as far as ats search goes, I have found it better to utilize the 3 subject blocks and fill each with a single word of description. A mod also suggested googling a subject and include "abovetopsecret" with the description and google will bring up all ats related threads.
Hope that helps

Peace

I'm not trying to rub it in his/her face, I offered some advice. I'm sick and tired of seeing the same things posted over and over again, the OP will feel the same when he/she has been around ATS for a couple of years. Here's another tip. With regards to youtube videos try searching for some of the words in the video title.

I understand what you're saying and I am new here but as you will know there are different ways to offer advice. For example, if I am around in a couple of years time and someone posted a previously debated video, I would point this out to them in a polite and helpful manner, which some members have done to me and I appreciate it. Everyone is different and unique and we all have good days and bad days.

Annella was just pointing this out to you.

It is an amazing phenomena. People have video cameras charged and ready, fairly close "UFO"s come waltzing around and the You Tube clip is only a few second long. Why do we always get just "trailers?"

I'm with crip here, I find the search function fine, if key terms like date, location name and type ie triangle you should be able to find 99.9% of stuff easily, it may take looking at a few pages from the search response but it works.

The problem is that people in a lot of cases simply can't be bothered to look thru those pages and post a comment like "I looked but could not see" or "I don't know if this has been posted before" simply as a way to get away with it.

I'm not saying that's what the OP did but a search would have found both video's very easily..

Again, I do apologise but I did use the search function. Someone kindly pointed out to me that I could also use google search which I will do from now on.

Please don't take this personally, it is intended many out there in ATS land. There is never, never any way that a moving object is the sky is going to be a comet. Also, rarely, rarely is there a comet that can be seen with the naked eye. Comets are always far more distant from us than the Moon, and even if it is a big, close one, you will never see it move. To detect movement requries a long period of observation (over days usually) as measured against stars in the area, never on direct movement seen from the comet.

I am referring to the first vid, and I could be wrong but it appears to me as if the object is above the clouds, and the movement is more from Earth, which is why I thought it may be a comet, as well as the fact that there was an actual comet that day. So I am not proposing that it is in the sky, whisking thru the clouds, but behaving more like a distant comet would as it came into view, like in the vids above here. Just speculating here...
