If you played music or really enjoyed music ,you would know that the true musicians like the ones mentioned and others ,are not in it just for the money.They obviously love playing music ,sure there are the benefits of being famous ,but these people do care about their fans because without them they nothing. If anything, I hear direct attacks on corruption, greed and oppression in many Maiden songs. If there were an Illuminatti, I imagine Iron Maiden would not be in favour.

I just cannot resist entering this thread. See my sig, it is the cover of their album Powerslaves. Iron Maiden is and has always been my favorite band since about 1980... and still today.

The eye in the OP vid is actually from this album, more specifically the title track which has the eye of horus in its lyrical content.

Iron Maidens 3rd record "the number of the beast" had them gain the label of satanic which they never shook. There were even album burning events in southern bible belt USA at the time, 1983? This of course gained them $$$ and publicity. the fact is the song was about a dream and not a call to worship the devil, similar to Motley Crue's "Shout AT the Devil".

Maiden has always written about occult, history, war and books........ very little about teen angst like most popular music.

Maiden has never really been embraced by mainstream, radio, video etc. save for a short stint during the 80's. Unlike bands like Metallica who were taken and propped by corporate america, same as most of todays "pop" acts, albeit today is the worse its ever been..... see britney, bieber, disney et al.

I see nothing sinister with maiden, just a bunch of guys who like to put melody in their metal, and Steve Harris (the heart of Maiden) who put the Bass Player at the front of the stage instead of hiding in the back.

Yes I miss the music of the 80's... the whole new wave of british heavy metal.......... of course as a Canadian I was a huge Rush fan.

And yes Metallica's first couple were great... Kill em all and ride the lightning, are still 2 of my favorite metal albums.

late 70's early 80's saw the death of disco, the emergence of heavy metal, new wave, the start of rap and "glam" rocks transformation into "hair metal".

I went from playing
Stones, Ziggy, Zep, Neil Young to
Van Halen, Aerosmith, AC/DC to
Maiden, Sabbath, Priest to
Anthrax, Metallica, Slayer to
Venom, Suicidal Tendencies, DRI and back to maiden

The lead singer is a very intelligent guy, he is an accomplished pilot and actually "guest hosts" passenger jet flights. He is also a ranked fencer among other pursuits. I honestly don't believe the Egyptian theme is evidence of a link to the illuminati, more than likely it reflects his fascination with Egyptology, nothing more.
I highly reccomend "Live After Death" a concert performance from the 1980"s, if you don't love it you need to get your hearing checked.

I highly doubt that Iron Maiden is part of a NWO conspiracy.

What they are doing is nothing new. Bands such as Riotgod and The Damned Things use the most common "illuminati" symbol of the eye within a pyramid on their recent album covers/jackets. It doesn't mean that they're part of a conspiracy though.
