What ever happened to that one petition to stop the project to dam the Amazon? Did it lose steam?

S+F that's amazing! I wonder what they think we are? I seen a documentary where there was a tribe during WW2 and the army dropped of supplies to them and they believed the army was infact gods, they started a new religion and built models of the aircraft's that dropped the supplies believing that building images of the "gods" would make them come back and drop of more supplies... really interesting.

When did petitions stop big industry from doing what it wants? China and India have done the same thing within their countrys as well(displacing millions). The needs of the large city centers will always win against the rural areas...in south america it has been like this for a few hundred years now and doesn't look to be changing soon.

In the pic it looks like their feet are wider at the toes than usual human feet. I suppose that is an evolutionary feature that helps them in the environment in which they survive. Even the children have very wide forefeet.

That's just a result of always being barefoot...If you walk barefoot all day the arches of your feet get stronger and your forefoot spreads out for balance and grip. This all results in less knee/back injuries.

Look up barefoot running- it is a great technique and much safer then wearing shoes. I walk/run barefoot every chance I get. Who needs shoes anyways? Use what God gave us.
