How do you add friends or send and email, yeah iam dating myself

I have only had a facebook site and twitter, how do I request friends and send a message to another ATS member. I have had ATS members send me messages but do not know how. I got lost back in the HTML days.

Both of those options are on the left hand side, where it says "member" with an arrow

You dont request friends though, people can friend you if you like it or not

Quickest way; roll over the blue "members" link on the mini-profile of the other person, found on one of their posts.
You will then see options for both.

click on the user name in the mini profile on the left of the post.
click on the button titled wall. the icon is a heart
option is on the page to add friend. it too is a heart icon.

i was laughing when i posted it. but i couldn't remember how to add a friend. i searched and found this thread. then i stumbled on the solution by clicking around. :-)
i figure if i was looking someone else may be too.
