Egyptian woman: Mossad used me to topple Mubarak regime

'Israeli connection' to Egypt riots? A young Egyptian woman claims that the Mossad trained her to assist in bringing down Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's regime. In an interview with Egypt's Al Mehwar network the woman, who noted that her facebook page was extremely popular, said that she was sent by an American organization to be specially trained "by Israelis and Jews" in Qatar.

I don't know what to make of this....

I'm making no claims either-way or for the veracity of the article.
I thought I'd post it here to gain your take on the topic...

Sounds like something the Murbock (sp) regime would put out.

This seems to be the line that the State TV station is pushing in Egypt.

Another complex chess move by US/Israel?

Put in 'Meant to Fail' Islamist governments in the remaining ME countries
so in a couple of years of continued tensions
their will be replacement wars to continue after Afghanistan pull-out.

The military-industrial-complex is just preparing the way for more profits from war.

Afterall, when things slow down after Iraq and Afghanistan,
what are the war mongers going to have to keep the revenue and profits flowing?
They don't make any profit from peace.

I have no idea if this is legit or not.
I'm tossing it out there to see if we can get another angle on the story.

This is just a desperate attempt by the Mubarak regime to try to gain sympathy and support by casting the reform movement as an Israeli plot.

Israel has no reason to want Mubarak deposed, he's exactly the kind of leader they want to deal with. He's stable, and even works with Israel in regards to Gaza.

Basically, Israel is being blamed on one side for being on good terms with Mubarak for 3 decades, and now being blamed by Mubarak on the other side for causing the unrest in his country.

reading the comments on your link, looks like most of the commenters doubt the authenticity of the content of the article. possible spin to incite anti-Israel, anti-US reaction perhaps, or maybe they just want to claim some responsibility for the sake of being seen as having done something to help out the revolution.

look at things on a bigger scale.
didn't Bush say somewhere that 'war makes money'?
where's the cash going to come from after 2014 when activity in iraq/afghan winds down?

the current regimes have made all their money in the last 20-30 years.
they all leave and retire happily elsewhere.
let the people vote in volatile governments and oppositions.
let simmer.
let arab/israel tension increase (israel can defend itself, just display some concern to MSM).
flashpoint occurs.
troops move in.
all ME controlled.

The weapons production lines are probably already rolling out crates of munitions labelled Syria,Egypt,Lebanon,
and trucking them to munitions storage bases.

The Pentagon is no different than any other business.
They all have 5 year plans, 10 year plans, and beyond.

They make plans people, they don't flip a coin.

Having a hand in toppling a corrupt dictatorship would NOT cause anti-Israel or anti-US feelings..

I'm not so sure Israel is as in love with him as they pretend to be. Ditto with the U.S., which is what I've been saying since last summer and what is becoming more obvious by the moment.

normally what you said would be true but in the middle east where most of israel's neighbors are autocratic nations ruled for the most part by dictators, despots and/or political dynasties, it would be perceived and distorted by other nations' ruling classes as uncalled for meddling in the affairs of another sovereign state -- in other words, state-sponsored destabilization or *knocks on wood* an act of war.

And Israel's leadership has stated itself as being pro-Mubarak.

I could see that if they were seen to be helping the Mubarak regime, but not in trying to bring it down..

The whole ME is a confusing place..

What a blatant piece of propaganda by Mubarak's government.His handlers know that no one bought his interview and the interview of the VP.In it's death throws the regime shows just how desperate they have become...

Errr... Unlikely.. But good publicity for the Mossad..

About as believable as any other Mossad plot released by the Arab media.

Loving the twist here though, it's like we're in opposite land..
Usually it would go like this-

Mossad trains sharks to attack tourists in Sinai- "Those mossad bastards!"
Mossad network exposed in Egypt by and Israeli trained spy- "Damn you, Mossad!"
Mossad kills 50 people, no evidence found but one guy who claims he was totally there- "Oh those evil Zionist assholes!!"

And then this one-

Mossad helps being dictatorship down- "Uhhh... Must be some pro government lie.."

Another angle? Well even Hitler was trained to create a revolution, but who trained him and for what reasons is hard to really know. Was he programmed without knowing it? My Father once said you can believe you are a boiled egg if you really want to and I really think he had a point. The essence being, are you prepared to join him and be a boiled egg too? Each individual is free to a certain extent to take whichever stance he wishes and see where it leads. There is always some power ready to take advantage of others actions and then blame whomever they like for them. So my angle on this is, no-matter whoever is behind any act there are two distinct possibilities, ignorant acts and wise acts. Its very black and white but that is the basics, the question of who is the deceiver is always changing. Once we go in to the complexity of each matter it is a lot easier to fool anybody with science, maths or plane lies.

It is a typical mistake to search "invisible hands", "great powers behind curtain", if a group of people, here the Egyptians, do something "unexpected" for westerners. Most people in Western think people of Middle East have no enough rationality or will to change something on their own.
Western people think Mossad and Cia are omnipotent. Well, maybe they were strong in the past, but today they have no power in the region as before.
And no. Riots in Egypt are pure act of the will of the people of ME, period.
