Las Vegas fire department said it's nothing to worry about. It was a radio with a little anttena which probably fell off a truck. It's not dangerous and the strip will open up soon.

Yay! That would really reek havoc on the local economy. Im sure tourism would drop off quickly if a bomb blew up on the strip with no warning! We finally recovered from 9/11! So come on out, it's safe! (for now

I wonder if they will get the person who called in saying the bomb will go off at 4:00 p.m. I guess this is the kind of situation when the *nutzoids* crawl out of the woodwork.

Yeah... im sure there will be an investigation into all the aspects of this. Traffic was closed on the strip for over 2 hours.. lotta money gone when people are out looking at a possible crime scene instead of plunking quarters down a machine!
