Was today a good day............

..........to bury bad news.

As many regular posters know it is on days such as this that,traditionally,bad news is buried.While all of us are watching developments in the Gulf our governments are releasing all the imformation that they do not want us to look at in depth.U-turns,scandles,and financial irregularities may all go unreported because of world events.Posters should especially look for any dilution of basic rights and freedoms that could be "temporarily" retracted.
If you see any examples please post them up here but beware they will be hard to find.

rense.co ususally provides a lot of links to articles like that. But most things you read on rense are just speculations, from small personal websites...
But most of the time it is worth to read some articles, even if you know for sure it's not true...
Sometimes it's even funny how they make up "news" articles.

As for Jumpin' Jeff: he's been under attack of late - advertisers withdrawing and what will you. Some splendid vitriol on rense of late.

only thing I've noticed is that the firefighters have had their pay deal imposed on them (funny that cos us at the revenue had same treatment last year). However in this instance I can see why the government wanted the strikes over - soldiers should be fighting not driving green goddesses to house fires.

check the business and media pages, arc, and watch out for the property market and interest rates: planned deflation is coming to the sceptred isle.

aaah well I bought my first house in august and I'm not intending on moving again for long long time. Plus I hardly have any money at best of times so the nearest I get to interest is the 2p my bank gives me every month

It wasn�t exactly buried, but the bugging of the E.U Headquarters has been pretty much swept aside. German, French, British and others offices were bugged with sections of the European media laying the blame squarely on the U.S., While the E.U maintains the culprit is a 'mystery'.
When this was originally posted someone replied that this is just international politics and it happens all the time, which is true. Though not usually against your supposed allies. I wonder how the Americans would have perceived this if the E.U had bugged Congress or the like. I'm sure it would have been a completely different story.
U.S/E.U relations are going downhill fast.
