Thank you so much for sharing this video. It was a way of reminding me of 'where' my mind should be. When I was done watching it. I had thoughts of solid and powerful Red Crows retelling of the legend was. Then I started reading replies.... it can really soil a good mood.

The Earth is mad at us might seem silly now and it is, but in the past it was as good an explanation of natural events as any.

Question is why anyone with a modern knowledge and an education would still turn to myths and fairy tales for explanations.

One of the high points of such myths is they never require any proofs, evidence or time-frame. Whenever it happens is thought to be the proof, no matter when it happens. It eliminates the need to explain when things don't occur, while at the same time leaving the belief alive.

It's like the 2012 myth which when it does not occur, the proponents will simply change the date like they did before.

Shamans, Witch Doctors and the like were the first Politicians and their craft was developed for the same reasons, control through fear. Politicians are the modern version of Witch Doctors, only the language has changed. Being a Witch Doctor, Shaman or whatever title they had guaranteed them enough power over people they never had to want for anything. Just throw a little sulfur on the fire and the frightened little lambs would take care of all their needs and gladly do so.

Today they do the same thing and by creating fear in others they are able to find those willing to support them and provide their needs. Same game, different time.

You must be right Blaine. There is no WAY there is anything more than what we see and hear in this world!

The more we get "plugged in" the more we get disconnected from Mother Earth and our Heavenly Father. It is when we are disconnected that we are most likely to sin against ourselves, our loved ones, the Earth and most importantly, God.

That's what it is all about --getting us to sin from our own Free Will. And to do that they have to plug us into materialistic society and unplug us from the spiritualistic society.

All praise science! Here is an all powerful religion that claims everything that it denied years ago as its own discovery as soon as some of its titled priests accept its possibility then condemns damns anything it cannot explain as fraud.

This orthodox discipline uses the same dogmatic rhetoric that many religions do. Science as it stands today has mainly been applied in the most basic mechanical 3 dimensional way when arguing anything in metaphysical in nature.

Yes apply reason yes apply tests to find out what works but do not give the title of all knowing all powerful deference to the scientist who to date has proven themselves as corruptible as any organisation of faith in the past. One only has to look at the current corruption of medicine by the Drug companies.

My point?
Logic applied to a situation regardless of your reality outlook can be universal. But to disregard wisdom shared freely because it is not your own reality outlook is ignorance in its purest form. In fact those who profess to be true believers of science owes a dept to the Shamen, Elders Monks and apothecaries of old that they now turns critical bigoted and disrespectful eyes towards.
What is a parasite? To me its something that takes and does not return anything beneficial to the giver. I am not saying science has never given us anything however I am saying that there are many people who claim their faith in science that do just this.

The shamans (witchdoctor is such a disrespectful way of referring to them) had a very high standing in all tribes of all continents. They were the ones with the knowledge to guide the tribes to food, medicine, hunting grounds, healing, and to the ancestors in spirit. Their position in the tribe was just as important as the tribe chiefs.
To put the shamans on the same line as politicians is another way of calling them liars and cheats.
They did never and do never control the tribes by fear. I think you're mistaking them for church leaders.
I was once as sceptic as you are , but I have since learnt through experience that we are all connected to each other, to nature, to the animals, and the planets outside our own solar system. If all trees were to die tomorrow we would die with them.
The earth is one living organism and we have mistreated her for far too long. When you get ill you get medication to treat your illness. The earth's medication has been administered and is getting rid of anything that makes her ill. We've polluted the land, the sky, and the seas....and she knows this.

I suggest you listen more to Floyd's words, and truly feel what they mean. If you aren't able to do so, I'm sorry to say that you may well not make it through the coming changes.

TY redzareptile That video is amazing. I have always felt the native american view on life, nature, and living as one with the earth and all her children was the closest thing to religion i could believe in. It all makes too much sense, and what was said in this video hit me very close to home. We have forgotten our roots, and without roots you can not survive.

You are aware the Mayans are still with us and they say it is simply a cycle ending. The Mayans have no connection to the invented and wrongly attributed myth of 2012. Those who drug the Mayan Calendar into this were not Mayans and ignored the fact they still exist and have passed the knowledge down. I'll go with the real Mayans and believe the calendar ending is as they say, just a cycle ending and nobody has yet called the print shop for the next cycles calendar, which is the truth I'm afraid.

There is often wisdom in myths and the things practitioners say. But even they know it's a form of control through emotions. Confidence games can benefit or harm depending on the intent.
