Waste of money, They may aswell just have a screen with a video playing?
Overhyped, Still a good find, Just seems like a bit of a waste IMO.

Im not really sure how this simplifies anything. It actually complicates things, no? Because now they will have to spend more money on these holograms rather than just having the same spokesperson on a TV screen.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
If it ain't complicated, don't try to simplify it by adding some fancy holograms to it.
Nevertheless, that is a pretty cool find.

I doubt if this really is a hologram. I'd have to be there to know what it really looks like. It appears to be a flat screen which presents a stereoscopic image without the need for special glasses. I doubt if the image is suspended in mid air so you can walk around it, like in some sci-fi movies. There are currently several types of stereographic imaging competing for the market. Unfortunately, they are all billed as holographic instead of adopting a list different names for different technologies.
Marketers like to use the term "holographic" to sell anything that is stereographic. A real hologram has resolution at the wavelength of the laser light in which it is viewed, and it has parallax when you shift your viewpoint up or down as well as sideways.
I agree that this is not added security. It's just an excuse to divert €1,000,000 from the airport's security budget, instead of hiring better qualified security personnel and dogs.

Good point. Wouldn't it be nice to watch some holographic porn?
