Car(Taxi) Bombs

There are currently 13,087 yellow cabs on the road in New York City, plus over 40,000 other for-hire vehicles, such as town cars and executive cars, all regulated by the Taxi and Limousine Commission.

What if the majority of them were modded to carry explosives, all around New York... neighboring cities, imagine the devastation and sheer panic, taxis can stop almost anywhere...anytime to pick up and drop off passengers, they can carry enough explosives in the back to cause massive damage. Also, aren't most taxi drivers of middle-eastern origin?

The question is, who regulates the taxi and limousine commission.

My apologies. I.was trying to be silly about substance induced paranoia and didn't mean anything disrespectful or personal to the OP. Having said that and moving forward I agree it would cause massive damage. just have to ask are you saying all cabs taxi's limo's and for hire vehicles are possibly rolling bombs??? nation wide or just in NY NY??? and it does not matter who is driving???? again just asking.

Yes, I am saying all cabs could be fitted with some sort of device. They might not even have to be laden with bombs, they could have devices that would only target the gas tank and that itself would warrant widespread paranoia. Your right it could be anyone, although Muslim extremists are hot topic these days, it could be anyone, it could be classed as a false flag, it may very well pave the way for increased security on an enormous scale never seen before, all headed by the people that brought you those pat downs. Imagine the big xray machines they use near the border on every trucking route scanning every vehicle.

This kind of paranoia is playing right into the hands of the Homeland security.
Yes the taxicabs would be great platforms for car bombs, but the private cars outnumber the taxis, have NO regulating body to speak of, and would be harder to check if there was an incident.
taxis have the same garages and are fleets which are subject to inspections regularly.
Just one taxi bomb and they could be banned enmass from the streets too.....
The private vehicles are the best choice for car bombs and remain so despite your paranoias.....

Everyone is saying im paranoid, but im not, just speculative, really...
