Lets assume for the sake of fun that it will not swallow up earth. How long will it take before we can see the SUN blinded by Jupiter How many number of days or nights will the earth go through (just like Alaska). Ofcourse the gravitational pull will be immense for us to see some serious tides in some parts of the world and the oceans will part in the opposite parts of the world for few days ? People will definitely believe Moses without any skepticism

Yeah, it is interesting to think what would happen if the moon was replaced by Jupiter.

In the video it shows Jupiter orbiting Earth, but wouldn't Earth start to orbit Jupiter? That would change the entire climate on Earth. Extreme tidal waves. I couldn't possibly imagine all the things that would happen and change, but I'm pretty sure it would be a deadly event.

Would be nice to see a simulation of Earth's climate with Jupiter as its Moon or Earth as Jupiter's Moon. I would assume if Jupiter was revolving around Earth the gravitational pull might be more. If Earth was rotating around Jupiter then it might be a bit less (If jupiter was stationary).

I guess it's the true realisation that the universe plays it's part and there is nothing anybody can do to change it.

Question: But if it were Jupiter or some other planet maybe mars that had the moons position. which one would you call the moon. Jupiter or Earth?

It depends which orbits which. If Jupiter orbits the Earth, it would be Earth's sattelite, so Jupiter would be our moon and vice versa.

Really neat concept/idea. Some people have theorized that large cometery bodies and/or planets passed through the inner solar system in prehistory. It explains some legends and myths, and some of the scarring on Mars, from what they say.

At one time, "we" (humanity) might have been witness to just extraordinary skyscapes as a planet dashed through the inner solar system, possibly coming so close to Mars as to set off a chain of intense lightning barrages between the two atmospheres, causing the massive scarring of the red planet. Could we be due for another visit from this long-lost wayward world?

Some call it Nibiru, some call it Planet X or Wormwood. Or a brown dwarf. I imagine if such a body passed so close to us that, while devastating, the sight would have been quite remarkable and beautiful... Like the scenes of our own planets you provided if they were in our skies close by. It reminds me of the moon in James Cameron's AVATAR that orbits a gas giant planet. Earth would be such a "moon" orbiting Jupiter.

Earth couldn't support life because huge radiation from Jupiter core We would burn right away.

Sorry, but isn't this something that they teach you in elementary school? I know I saw this exact same thing in several science books while I was in elementary.

At first I was thinking it was cool when Mars was shown, then I thought the video was rather disturbing once Neptune got into frame. It destroyed me once I seen jupiter though lol funny stuff

Actually it would be the Earth as the moon, one body does not revolve around the other. They both orbit the center of gravity. That center of gravity would just so happen to be inside of Jupiter.
