Nice try but the only reason they discovered mitochondrial disease in Hannah Poling was BECAUSE she reacted to the vaccines and developed autism as a result and as proven in a court of law. They would not have looked for it otherwise so it is possible there are many other childen with the same vaccine risk factors.

You have no reason to believe any of this is true. You don't know what symptoms the family's pediatrician did or didn't observe.

Was the child ever noted as not thriving properly? What percentile was she on her growth charts? Did she exhibit any less-than-adequate behavior milestones? What were her eating habits? Could she maintain eye contact with someone while listening?

Given the vaccination court awarded them compensation for the vaccine triggered autism I have no reason to doubt their findings or the experts that gave evidence and neither do you. The autism apparently was not there before she had the vaccines so asking if she was developing normally beforehand (lack of eye contact being an autistic symptom) means you are questioning that verdict. Maybe you are calling them liars as well.

As for your "But you ARE a liar!" excuse that is just petty and name calling is also against the T&C.
You would go further with retaining your own credibility if you didn't riddle your posts with personal attacks.

I am a parent of an Autistic child too . I still side with VneZonyDostpa on this one. The link and the science just don't add up. It is purely coincidental until the science backs it up.
Ok Riley? I understand that nearly every child in Europe and North America has received that vaccine, using your logic you could then accuse it of being responsible for every medical syndrome / disorder out there. Our family recently lost a niece (13yrs old) from a Cystic fibrosis, she had been vaccinated prior to diagnoses too.I know it's a genetic disease but they haven't ruled out that as a cause for Autism yet either. So let the science do it's part before we gather the pitch forks and torches against the pharma companies. All this chatter about vaccines being responsible doesn't sit right with me. I have no more proof than you do about the cause one way or another. As a parent and an active member of the local autism society I also know that a lot of the parents debate these issues at our meetings. They do not want to be the ones responsible for their child's condition and I understand that. But when you consider the number of children with Autism compared to the number of people who have been vaccinated,....

Well, I say we keep the debate open, but i also say that we keep it honest.

Again, you twist words, take things out of context, and lie. Why do you have to do this? Why can't you just have an open and honest debate?

1) No one claimed the vaccines "caused" her autism. The court (and medical experts) ruled that her condition was aggravated by the vaccine. The also stated that many, MANY things would have aggravated it in the future, but the vaccines did it first, hence the compensation. At no point did they say she would have been non-autistic if it weren't for the vaccines.

2) How do you know symptoms of autism weren't there prior to the vaccines? Do you have any idea how subtle some forms of ASD are, especially at that age? Why are you just completely making up facts to fit your argument? THIS IS DISHONEST.

As for your "But you ARE a liar!" excuse that is just petty and name calling is also against the T&C.

So you have no explanation for your blatant lying, which I showed very clearly in the previous post?

Nice try. Again.

www.newscientist.com... began showing signs of autism, with accompanying screaming fits, after she'd been vaccinated against nine diseases in July 2000, aged 18 months.

Note where it says AFTER.

..and why did you add "asd" to my name? Autism spectrum disorder? Wow you really like to try hit below the belt don't you? Very sad indeed.

Also note where the PARENTS noted OVERt symptoms. This has nothing to do with subtle symptoms that only clinicians would notice.

Again, stop injecting information where it doesn't exist.

That was a typo. My computer had frozen when I click "quote" on your previous post, and I just pressed the keys my fingers were on in an attempt to get the site to do something. If you'll notice, the "A", "S", and "D" keys are all next to each other, and are a common spot for the fingers to rest between typing strokes.

But, you know, nice try with the insults. Perhaps you should spend less time making assumptions and more time trying to come up with more lies.

Yes thats quite a coincidental typo.. and calling me liar, fear-monger propagandist must be as well. As I said earlier this is an old article which makes it NA and I have no interest in being abused by you anymore.

Most autisms are not considered to be links to vaccinations so I'm not sure why it matters. Your child could have aspergers for all I know.

I still side with VneZonyDostpa on this one.

Interesting. In that case this will be my only post to you as you've already "picked sides".

The link and the science just don't add up. It is purely coincidental until the science backs it up.
Ok Riley? I understand that nearly every child in Europe and North America has received that vaccine, using your logic you could then accuse it of being responsible for every medical syndrome / disorder out there.

Neither did I EVER claim it caused any other syndromes. Have you even been reading my posts even though you suggested we keep it honest? Please do not imply I have said certan things when I haven't.

Our family recently lost a niece (13yrs old) from a Cystic fibrosis, she had been vaccinated prior to diagnoses too.I know it's a genetic disease but they haven't ruled out that as a cause for Autism yet either.

I am very sorry for your loss it is a very tough journey for those kids.

They have known the specific genetic cause for at least 25 years and has never ever been connected to ASD. The argument is not logical.

You understand that? I'm sorry but I think it's very insuting to those parents for you to assume they just want to be in denial that it's their fault when there are possibly numerous causes which may be a mix of both enviromental and genetic triggers. You said you wanted an open debate but you seem to have already decided that it's the parents fault which makes further debating the subject with you pointless.

But when you consider the number of children with Autism compared to the number of people who have been vaccinated,....

It's only a small number of more severe autistics that have immunity problems. It's a subset of the population anyway which would be like argueing that peanuts don't kill everyone so there's no such thing as peanut allergies. Your statistical argument doesn't make any sense.

Well, I say we keep the debate open, but i also say that we keep it honest.

You didn't. I never said MMR causes other syndromes or all ASDs yet you accused me of using that kind of logic.. an open debate is open not full of trip wires. This will be my last post to you.

Nope, Severe and with a bowel disorder.

I still side with VneZonyDostpa on this one.

Not really. I'll sit on that side of the fence until I find any credible evidence to the contrary. And if /when that happens I will gladly reconsider my position.

The link and the science just don't add up. It is purely coincidental until the science backs it up.

Didn't say nor imply that you had. I was using your idea of vaccines = autism in a dramatic way to show how empty it was.

Thank you for your compassion.

I know, and I wasn't trying to make any links between the two.

Not at all, It wasn't meant nor shouldn't it be taken as an insult. As you said these are very emotional topics and I only implied that sometimes the guilt (and I really mean guilt because that is what they tell me) that some of these parents feel overrides their common sense. I have never argued with them that they are wrong , just that they should reserve their judgment until science has had a chance to verify.

Well, I say we keep the debate open, but i also say that we keep it honest.

Maybe not but when I read your post it seemed to me that it was definitely implied.

PS. My wife confirmed with me last night then through her vaccination records, that our daughter never received the MMR triple vaccine.
